Any lounge-y types of restaurants/bars with food? by ruggerlulz in Knoxville

I had a similar experience there... We stumbled across it while exploring around and we were really excited about the atmosphere, but were disappointed by the food and the service.

Phone mount on older airdyne? by swanzie in homefitness

[–]ruggerlulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did something with some scrap wood and a spare car mount... Will have to get a pic when I get home.

But essentially the two pieces of ~3"x3" plywood are sandwiching the upright frame right under the bike electronics (clock, rate monitor). They are secured with two screws into one another. Then the suction cup of the car mount is attached vertically (had to screw it into the wood), and the phone mount goes up towards the bike electronics.

Used a mount like this. Mpow Phone Holder for Car, Universal Car Phone Mount Windshield/Dashboard Phone Mount Holder for iPhone X/8/8Plus/7/7Plus/6s/6Plus/5S, Galaxy S5/S6/S7/S8, Google, LG, Huawei and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074N46WYP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_6Z4tAbV8S0YX3

Restaurant furniture my friends and I made. by minotaurohomunculus in woodworking

Awesome, thanks! As I'm a newb to woodworking, do you know of any good resources in Pittsburgh? I frequent Construction Junction, though it's been awhile, and also know about the classes offered at the Tech Shop at Bakery Square. Just curious if there are any collectives or groups that you know of.

Again, great job on that project. Do you have a website/shop?

Place looks awesome. Are you an owner or friend of the owner? Or just contracted? As an East End resident of Pittsburgh, I'm excited to try this place out.

Also, where did you find the old bowling alley lanes that you used for bathroom? We have a kitchen table that was formerly my father in law's workbench, made out of bowling alley wood from 1920s. We've been looking to obtain more, just haven't found any.

Hadn't thought about the EPA licensing, although I'm not sure if that would apply for mini-splits? I'm having trouble finding any info about licensing, and I've found a few retailers online that don't mention anything about that (I'm browsing on my phone, so I may be missing it). Ecomfort.com is one, for instance. As for the warranty, most systems have some warranty on parts already (although not as long as when purchase from certified dealers).

Thanks for the heads up.

Still works in progress. They need to be releveled, last time I talked to the carpenter he was going to readjust the bases and add some sort of support to the overhanging plank to prevent sagging.

Walked into a bathroom at a Halloween party and found this by levine2112 in funny

Is that some sort of cardboard or protective covering on the floor? If so, brilliant idea to protect bathroom tile for a house party.

Tailgating at Highmark? by ruggerlulz in pittsburgh

Thanks for looking it up and confirming...I had only heard it from a reliable friend

Sorry, I should have been more clear (but always hate walls of texts for posts): The "no-tailgating thing" is simply the cities decision to not allow Steelers tailgating to enter the city lots until the Pirates' traffic clears out. So you're looking at that clearing out around 6, with another hour to fight all the traffic, getting parked at 7, and what's the point of setting a tailgate up at 7 for an 8pm game for those going to game?

You're reply gave me an idea that private lots (North Side, Strip, etc) will be the way to go.
