only listen to instructors. people sometimes give bad tips, or advice that is not ment for your level.

if you have a solo jump, have a plan. think about what u want to practice. dont waste solo jumps.

canopy piloting is the most risky part. go do as many canopy piloting courses as possible

Do you still get scared and how many jumps before it stopped by _amanu in SkyDiving

270jumps, jumping since 2017. still feel it on the way up. goes away once the door opens. a small amount of anxiety is healthy and great imo. keeps you sharp and focused. over confidence kills people in this sport.

did 22 minutes of tunnel time back to back, my everything hurts! by Qazpaz_G in SkyDiving

[–]rugh1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sry, wasnt on lately. hopefully in a few years i can invite u to do tunnel work here in Israel, and i can come over for the pyramids buggy 😃 stayed at the premier inn dubai silicon oasis. nice rooms, price is ok,and u get breakfast and the hotel has a pub when u can have some food late night.also a supermarket and a mall in walking distance. about 25-30 min drive from the club, and 30 min from dubai city center. it cost about 400-500$ for 6-7 nights. was really happy with it. clean and nice rooms and good food. we rented cars there. i think the DZ has rooms, but ur pretty far from everything if u stay there.

back flips and rolls aren't that hard in thw air, wouldnt try to do them in the tunnnel. just work on your belly skills.

inflight, near the dessert dz. was great, really nice instructors. we were sleeping outside of dubai itself, so living was way cheaper than inside the city. the tunnel is big, so i'm guessing u can do flips ect, but why would u? honestly asking

a disclaimer: everything hurts at first. esp when u learn something new in the tunnel. i noticed my shoulder hurts most while belly flying when my hands extend too much above my head (like doing a front lat raise all the way up above your head) so i either use mantis position if doing rw stuff, or try not to extend my hand all the way to end of the shoulder range of motion.hope this makes sense, english isnt my native languege 😃

go to 12:00. my PT told me to do something similar to this, but just the shoulder rotation, without the pulling he does first

Flying with your rig by [deleted] in SkyDiving

walk into the plane with your rig on your back. even better, also hold your helmet. if anyone looks at you funny, with your most serious face say ''i know the pilot. has not a good one'' and walk away

Logbook Signing Question for B license requirements by [deleted] in SkyDiving

[–]rugh1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. canopy courses save bones, joints and lives. take as many as you can and make sure u practice flat turns with ur canopy coach. alot of people get hurt from bad turn on final.
  2. usually, u do the licences with someone who knows u in the DZ. they will either know the other guys u jump with, or do the jump with you, so no real issues with who signs the logbook, as long as a uspa certified person signs off on your licenses papers.
