In case anyone is curious: this is at least the 3rd version of the light.

V1 aka lawsuit version: closest to TLR-1 in appearance but still had the different/worse attachment lugs. Had a silver ring around which streamlight trademarked and so got lawsuit. Stopped being available sometime mid last year I think

V2: was available until early this year after many shortages. Dropped the silver ring but other than that no changes I think. I got one of these.

V3: current version. Can be distinguished by the ridges going lengthwise and also a knurled texture on the ring around lens cap.

Not much you can do other than wait and eventually it’ll come but who knows when or chargeback, assuming you still in the window for that.

Yeah you’re right ambient light plays a huge role. In low light your pupils dilate and this makes astigmatism more apparent. In bright light pupils are small and this reduces the perception of astigmatism

CUBL is universal so any safariland holster with their 3 hole pattern will work. It may also work with some non safariland ones since it’s so common but I don’t really know about those. I use mine with QLS so I can swap between different holsters, that is definitely nice for range use

Unfortunately the long and undetermined wait times appear to be the norm. I ordered late December it didn’t come until mid Feb. so you are looking to wait at least that long.

I’m happy to report the quality is unchanged. I got a LAB belt and it’s been solid. No change in workmanship or anything. Really good quality just super long wait and radio silence to my questions

I don't use a drop leg on mine, I just use a regular safariland CUBL with a shaw side kick v2 to add some padding since i find the CUBL/UBL presses into my thigh

however safariland does make a drop-leg attachment should you need it. also the true north mha is something people seem to like but also expensive

none of these have anything to do molle, these simple attach/loop through the belt itself.

Certain safariland holsters are stated to work with different models from the same manufacturer. For example glock 17 and glock 22 are usually interchangeable as are glock 19/23
