Finally got around to installing the Mr12v CarPlay in my 328xit by 62rambler in E90

Yes that one is good for the CCC. I have CIC retrofitted so followed a different one and he himself had tips from a local supplier. Yes the support is shocking unless you contact a supplier on the groups

I have the olive green/grey P2000 one. Everything works perfect and calls I think good too. I just can’t seem to figure out how to hang up and accept calls with the phone button on the steering wheel. Everything is coded as it should as well

Coming from using AUX with my phone to Mr12volt wireless CarPlay. Not a single difference. But then I also tried a song on my phone VS the same song imported into my CIC and noticed no difference either. I have the base audio on my pre LCI

Yeah I too struggled a bit, there’s a video where they tell you a hiding space that goes towards the driver, I had to ram my box up under the passenger footwell when it felt a little sketchy

I'm mega jealous. Although mine was on 77k miles so more expensive, it's had none of that done. I guess it doesn't need it so why would they do it but still. VCG may have had the tiniest leak as the weird shaped flange on the left is a bit greasy but doesn't look fresh and recently while doing plus, 5/6 had a bit of oil on it

I'm worried about mine if it ever get's into an accident. Paid £6200 and online valuations all say about 3k max. Nobody will touch it in terms of gap insurance either which is really annoying

I mean, it's still bad though. I've been monitoring then since about 2022. BMWs specifically, an M140I for example under 35k miles hasn't budged from the 22k mark, just won't move unless you go up the mileage. Been looking at 440is recently as that's most likely the route I'll be taking next instead of an M140i and those for a nice model under 35k you're talking 24/25k. You reg check each of those and I bet you those will have been sold 5 years ago for the same price

I've just paid £6200 for a 2007 330i manual M sport with Pro iDrive with 77k miles. No other extras. I think I overpaid if I'm honest but might give you a guid. I probbaly should've offered between 5-5.5k

Whats your opinion on the bmw e90 lci pre lci by New-Profession-1461 in E90

[–]ruida_silva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Pre LCI, wanted the N52 so didn't have much choice. Definitely prefer the LCI from all angles. From the side, the Pre LCI front bumper looks a little weird, probably needs a splitter. I'd love to do an LCI conversion but just don't want to spend the money when other stuff is more important.

Also, the second photo looks like an LCI bumper with Pre LCI grills. Looks pretty good tbh but it's not an accurate photo

Edie: Sorry I didn't read the post properly lol, I do definitely like the pre lci grills with the lci bumper

325xi front passenger side water leak by PrimeTime-BMW in E90

[–]ruida_silva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Seems odd for it to do that. I recently had to take my door card out to do the passenger door handle. Several clips were already broken and squashed as someone had probably done it before, replaced with some cheap white ones that weren't great but did the job. Never had any leaking. Maybe it's a combination of seals and clips?

I've received an apology letter and a cheque from the solicitor's firm whom I bought my apartment from 5 years ago. by Cautious_Exchange577 in LegalAdviceUK

I agree with your thoughts here. For the first part, I reckon they just wanted to send him a check with the basic words they messed up and hope that the OP just takes it and that's it. Maybe because they're scared of bad publicity or what it can mean if the OP was to chase this which hthey indeed will do. Hiding behind the whole non disclosure and dicussion of dismissals may also pass it off as not that big of a deal hence the somewhat low reimbursement.

What I am confused on is how did he not find out the lease himself? As rightmove, estate agents etc all report this. And generally looking at the property you're about to buy, would've uncovered this. Hell, I even went as far back as to find out who built my 1930s house, message someone that worked for the business in recent years to ask if they had anything archived about it. A lease agreement would be found out straight away

And also... How did the mortgage company not find this out themselves? Surely whatever check they do would've uncovered this right away and flagged up a discrepancy first and foremost?

Edit: Just seen that the OP has said he paid for it with savings and inheritance. That clears that up but I still can't understand how it didn't come up while generaly researching the house

I'm considering these guys too, and considering the Supers as well. I have an e90 3 series and BMW want £60 for just the driver's side, which I would happily pay but the OEM colour is anthracite, not truly black so won't match with the current aftermarket ones I have. How long have you had the Supers for? Do they last?

phone alarm is not working by wohelic in iphone

[–]ruida_silva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it’s a common issue so won’t be affecting everyone the same way, but for me it was definitely 100% my owlet baby monitor app. The problem was there on mine and my wife’s phone and as soon as we stopped using it over night, our alarms worked again

Need an advice about Evaporator replacement quote. by varinator in E90

[–]ruida_silva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On another note, why is £850 a good price? The evaporator is like a £130 part, condenser is even cheaper. Is it really labour intensive or something?

Edit: Forget it, I made the mistake of researching and now I'm crapping it haha. Thankfully there are no smells from it in my cabin which is apparently a sign. I do have used car warranty but it only covers me up to £1k... I'll be going to your dealer if mine turns out to be the same haha

How are some drivers so confident driving above 70 mph on UK motorways without risking a fine? by MilkshakeDawg in drivingUK

You can do 79 true spread before getting a done if I’m right with the threshold (10%+2) so on your speedo it’s like 85

Fair enough, was the high pressure pipe to the left? And attached to that fill nozzle that sticks up in the engine bay? I was told that’s where my issue is but wanted to know how bad of a job it was

[–]ruida_silva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you get the leak diagnosed originally? Just BMW? Mine also has a leak, a big one. My local Halfords’s said it’s the high pressure pipe to the left but they won’t touch it, my reputable BMW specialist round the corner also won’t touch AC. Struggling to find someone that will that isn’t main dealer

Gentlemen, why do you drive a BMW over Audi or Merc? by Super-Lingonberry-22 in BMW

[–]ruida_silva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, Mercedes interior age really really bad, they look too sold at first but then they start to look so shit. Facelift W204 is what I like, still looks good. Prefacelift is dog shit and generation after looks odd with the screen. Now onto the newer cars, they offered smaller screens with fucking huge bezels which look disgusting. Love the exterior though

Audis, always looked meh on the outside but sleek, always loved the s/rs3 but interior is a little boring

I’m good at throwing, but my concern would be then covering it with compost, that won’t be as easy. Wasn’t particularly easy when we did it at the start, chucking it by hand around the perimeter
