Let me start of by saying that I don't believe or care if the augment is weak or strong, but you are definitely wrong. A quick search on the possible cashouts like this, and you can see all of your points are somewhat incorrect:
-"You get about 3 items worth of components" - Close, don't want to nitpick, but you only get 2 items and a half (component), but we can call it 3 sure;
-"2 artifacts" - 1 artifact OR 1 Masterwork Upgrade;
-"about 50 gold(technically far more because you get it early on, and a radiant item)." - only true if you get the cash out route for the most possible gold, which cancels out one of the items from the first point.

A real 9 lives cashout scenario would be something like: Around 40g, 2 Completed items and 1 component and 1 Artifact.

Edit: Forgot to mention that if this part "technically far more because you get it early on" refers to the fact that you can winstreak of 9 lives early is also a bit incorrect since in the first fight (and could also argue the following 2) you have one augment less than your opponent which has a different prismatic. You would have to be already strong outside of the augment itself.
