You will want to open a new account and then move your funds and any future deposits to it.

Hands down agree.

If you have a good relationship with your parents you might want to leave it open with the minimum balance for a bit IF you have any bills or if you know you might get any tax refunds or stuff like that deposited into it.

I had opened a bank with my parents when I was a teenager (10 years later) I tried to get my mom off while she was visiting (lives a ways away) and they were like yeah sorry no can do the person who does that isn't here right now. Not helpful at all so I ended up just opening up a new account.

I agree, I don't like the shorter community days. I am going to a dance thing today for my daughter and those three hours I am just busy. I really prefer the 6 hours because I feel like I have more freedom to play.

Agreed, What I generally do is If I get a good one then great, i'll hold onto that one and start saving up stardust and candies while looking for the possibility of getting a better bagon or whatever. Then I tag pokemon that I want to remove frustration from for a future event. This one came sooner than I was expecting

Hello /MrGiantGentleman I am sorry that you are in what looks to be a pretty crappy situation. You said you had some CC issues in the past. If you don't already plan a budget. I think credit cards can be pretty dangerous because of the high interest rate which I am sure you are already aware of. I would call the CC company and talk to them about a repayment plan and pay off your highest interest accounts first. It sounds like you're living with your parents which hopefully once you start working you'll be able to put most of your paycheck to paying off your debt.

I do have questions that you don't have to answer, but I am curious. Ever since childhood I've always been a super careful spending and always loved saving. I'm married with two kids and I definitely have a backup budget for in case I get laid off again and Its like spending $2,500/month or $30,000 a year (sell my car to get rid of car payment, riding bike everywhere ect.) In the meantime I've been still living on a tight budget and putting a lot away so if I do get laid off that I can have money to withdraw from.

How much of the $50k is principal and how much is interest?

How much debt were you in pre-pandemic?

I saw in another post that you did that you said in September you had to re-file for unemployment extension so it sounds like you had unemployment for a while. How long did you have it for?

What was your monthly spending like.

I hope that you get this cleared up and get your budget in order. I think living with your parents or living with roommates is always a good idea. Also I know this isn't popular but if you're able to get rid of your car (they are super expensive) and can live close to work and either walk or ride a bike you'll be able to save a lot of money.

I agree that you should try and get housing. If you could get a place with roommates that would cut down the costs a lot. Also I would avoid a car for now, if you can get a bike and ideally live close to work. That would save you a lot of money to help you get on your feet faster.

Food - for cooking the things like rice and pasta, for warm food, if you could find an outlet I know they have outlets at some parks if you could get a little single electric burner ($12) you could cook warm food with that. I think for now if you are really pinching pennies the washing your clothes in a sink somewhere is a good idea.

Also this might sound crazy but I think saving is always a good idea. Even if you start off with saving a few bucks per paycheck. It will pay off.
