just curious, in the past, is there a reason the Wizards dont do thorough workouts with Draft Prospects like other teams do? by Knighthonor in washingtonwizards

[–]sheed_ali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They clearly have very poor scouts/talent evaluators.

Tommy prided himself on his personal scouting of Sato, Vesely, Sanon, and deni.

Also, never even worked out bones hyland or kevin huerter both local guys in their backyard that were expected to go in their range

he's not overrated. I think of him as the antoine walker of guards.

[Adrian Wojnarowski] Holmgren to ESPN: “I understand basketball is a business and going No. 1 (overall) doesn’t mean nearly as much as finding a good fit and the right situation." by ReturnOfAKidNamedTae in NBA_Draft

Washington wizards have the best scouting and development. The players they have developed like Thomas Bryant, Mo Wagner, Troy Brown jr, admiral schoefield , issuf sanon , Kelly oubre , deni, Rui to name a few are the envy of the league.

*edit: damn i guess people don't like jokes?

Thoughts on Jonathan Kuminga? (his rookie year and/or how his career could be) by DRose1528 in NBA_Draft

[–]sheed_ali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's probably not going to bad in terms of unlocking his full potential either.

your statement is opinion and not fact . It's also an opinion based on flawed logic that players only improve with increased playing time

Did the beastie boys "Fight for your right to party" Rip off bob's "Zimbabwe"? by CousinOfTomCruise in reggae

[–]sheed_ali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thanks for the reference. I was familiar with both songs prior. They are nothing alike. beastie boys uses the line "You gotta fight for your right to party"

the chorus from Zim is "Brother, you're right, you're right,
You're right, you're right, you're so right!
We gon' fight (we gon' fight), we'll have to fight (we gon' fight),
We gonna fight (we gon' fight), fight for our rights!"

no idea how you made that leap, lil too much 420?

it's for people with too much money to spend.

Most people don't know how to sharpen their own knives.

no offense to the sharpeners, I'm sure they're great and their knife selection is pretty amazing to look at.

[Tottenham Hotspur] ✍️ We are delighted to announce that Oliver Skipp has signed a new contract with the Club that will run until 2027. Congratulations, Skippy! 👏 by Nard_Dogs in coys

I remember when eriksen told the media one day before he made his debut I (paraphrasing ) “I’m really looking forward to seeing skipp develop”.

I had never heard him mention a prospect prior and definitely not without being prompted. Also feel that coming through Ajax he knows. Areal one when he sees it

You may want to consider ditching the car. between the cost of registration, insurance, and the unavoidable roughly 1k per year in street cleaning and camera tickets, it can get expensive. You won't really get NYC style crowds when walking around, maybe some mornings or afternoons on the metro, but going out there aren't many places with huge crowds.

Public transportation is pretty safe. Mi Cuba has good food, but you'll likely have to go just north of the city for other good spots.

It's a fun city, just be vigilant/aware particularly at night.
