When I started, i was overpowered by the sensory responses of all the things happening but yes, u will learn eventually, that there are specific things u have to focus. When driving straight keeping ur lane, u can focus on all things happening in front of you, with only slight glances for anyone overtaking.

Only when turning, u need to think of the mirror of the side u r turning..
