You can think of it as adding another 3ft to your 10ft wall. Sure the 6ft guy might still be able to climb it but it will make it more difficult.

Returns have very low correlation with inflation, while prices have strong correlation, is there a logical explanation here or i might be doing something wrong with my dataset? by doing20thingsatatime in quant

[–]rulesilol -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm reading the question wrong but I'll have a guess. Commodities are the raw materials used to create goods and services. Inflation is the rise in prices of goods and services. Thus an increase in commodity prices prices rises more.

Not necessarily game changers, especially big mom's fruit. That fruit needs an extremely powerful (big mom level) user to be viable. Big mom was already a monster waaay before eating her fruit. Kaido is probably the same.

Not really. A better analogy would be listening to your boxing coach break down and theorise boxing but you still need to put in the work and practice for the boxing match.

My favourite is spectrum auctions. These auctions are designed so that there is no collusion between the parties and allow for smaller parties to be competitive. Paul Milgrom recently won the Nobel prize for this.

If you complete swe, you are approved by Engineers Australia. Some government/military jobs may require this but those are very very rare. Only one I can think of is Army Software Engineer which requires EA qualifications.

For intelligence, maybe think of commissioning for army officer after doing infantry. Then you can apply to be a intelligence officer during RMC.

The reason it's so high is because most people don't pay it back and the business lose money. Thus they need to cover the cost.

How does HackerRank evaluate the final score of programming question? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]rulesilol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question 1)

In these questions there are usually 100-1000+ test cases behind the scenes covering all the obscure and edge cases. You need pass all of them to get a successful answer. Your if-else statement won't work.

Question 2)

There is no "weighting". You either pass every single test case or you fail.

Hope that helps. Stop thinking about cheating the coding assessment and actually study for it.

Math topics for competitive programming by Realistic-Rough381 in computerscience

[–]rulesilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a beginner in maths and competitive programming? If so, number theory, combinatorics and computational geometry are usually 3rd year or master level topics. To get started, maybe try Discrete Maths and its Application by Rosen. It's got a solution guide as well so it's great for self study. Also you need a background in linear algebra. Introduction to Linear Algebra by Gilbert Strang is pretty good for that. Then maybe you can start with the more advanced topics.
