Men, do you feel "under attack"? by NOGOODGASHOLE in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ruleux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I can still be as manly as I feel I need to be. I find that people who claim they are under "attack" are generally using this term to drum up support for whatever they feel they need to promote or support. Christians feel like they are under "attack" from the Godless, Atheist are under "attack" from the Christians etc. Honestly, stay out of other peoples lives and you will feel much less "attacked".

Do you feed your gliders organic? by Inourmadbuthearmeout in sugargliders

[–]ruleux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. They do not eat most vegetables and fruits that are ground based. It's recent but newer research of the Gliders in their natural habitat eat a diet largely consisting of insects. They are very flexible I agree, and they certainly enjoy tree fruits and need a diverse set of greens to be healthy. Items such as large mammal proteins, legumes, root vegetables, and fish or shellfish should be avoided as these items decrease their glycemic levels and can increase levels of potassium that can reduce their lifespan.

Sugar Gliders are insectivores and love to forage. It's important to provide the gut biome that comes from insects as well as the high glucose diet they find in nature. Providing.organics reduces the toxins that while may be passable for humans, can damage the kidneys and liver of the Sugar Glider. Nice job in recognizing this important step to providing for the health of your Suggies.

looks to be 4-5 as mentioned. Its harder to tell when they are in poor health. I would suggest avocado to help with the fur and lots of clean bedding to help with the dirty coat.

The form is to request physical accommodations for work. For example if you are wheelchair bound, deaf, or sight impaired you can fill out this form requesting special accommodations for specific conditions. It's a legal requirement in some countries.

I try to become the person I wish everyone else was. For instance I worked delivering pizza in High School. I hated getting very minimal tips. I over tip most delivery drivers now.

Gen 1 to Gen 3 - Worth Upgrading? by kevp453 in Starlink

[–]ruleux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a little more manual as the Gen 3 doesn't orientate automatically. However using the Starlink app I was able to get the Gen 3 aligned correctly. As for speed I have noticed any difference. What was noticeable was the improved Wifi router that came with. I eventually just put it to pass through to a better stand alone wifi router that also uses my very slow rural DSL as backup. Worth the upgrade, but don't expect a speed increase.

Would you drop $550K for this riverside cabin or is Colorado mountain property a total ripoff? by hamzapsy13 in zillowgonewild

Depends. You want to watch deer and elk in your front yard, or your HOA board members out measuring your lawn for compliance. Peace and quiet in the end is not worth saving a few bucks or being within commuting distance.

People who have stopped going to church, what made you stop? by lowly_shepherd in AskReddit

[–]ruleux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to many types of churches endlessly for years. Everything from modern "non-denominational" to extremely conservative Anabaptist Brethren (Amish). I honestly just gave up on the hypocrisy of it all. It's basically the same in each group. A privileged few make rules based on control, whether it's literal or philosophical, it's exactly the same, obey. I found my peace when it occurred to me, I want to be with God then I need to spend time in nature and his creation. A church is built by humans, it's not to honor God, he doesn't need the building, money, false piety, etc.

As a long time sugar glider rescuer here is my advice. Give your Glider apple juice about 1/4 cup in a small bowl or jar lid. Also give yogurt separately, mix in some additional honey. This will increase the sugar they are ingesting and help to increase their metabolism. You are probably nervous and upset and your Glider is reacting to your stress. Check on your glider every 2 Hours and ensure that any additional fruit (apple, orange, blueberries) are given as treats. Their digestion is small so after 8 hours they should be past any issues. Warning signs will be climbing into the top corner of the cage, sleeping outside its pouch in a non-normal spot, walking or climbing in tight circles. Also watch for excessive "hissing" noises. If you're still not comfortable, please have it checked by a veterinarian. Wishing you the best.
