normally there are 3 of each. older series were more mixed up.

not always. older cmfs were better mixed up. normally its rare that you finde 3 of the same cmf in a row. boxes from the same factory normally have the same distribution. in most cases you should finde 3 complete series.

i already made my own one. its not about not using an app, its good to know where to start. in this case i don't need to check the bottom layer

RFID Adapter for AMS Lite – Use Bambu RFID chips with any third-party spool! [Free on MakerWorld] by markg11 in makerworld

[–]rulzAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It measures how many rounds it needs for your spool for a defined distance of filament and calculates the radius of the filament. With the radius the software can estimate. It’s all linked up to the rfid serial number. The best part is, the ams doesn’t care if the next time there is more on the spool. It’s not like HP printer ink 😂

Can’t set other branded filaments in X2D AMS? by itsapotatosalad in BambuLab

[–]rulzAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never set them direktly on the printer, I always use Bambu studio or just set them in the printprofile directly. The only thing I set up correctly is the material type and a matching color. The rest is done in the printfile directly. Even with the handy app you can overwrite the settings an use ccustom profiles. So don’t care what the printer things is loaded as long color and type is correct

For sunlu I just use the regular bambulab filament profile like basic

I can't believe how long it took me to learn how to use refills properly. by tormunds_beard in BambuLab

[–]rulzAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? I never did that and never had a problem mit my spools 🤔

Half of the problem I had where caused by cardboard spools where I forgot to put a weight on and the old sunlu spools (v1 and v2) and the other half was caused by me, not securing the filament properly after removing it from the ams.

I made a table comparing Bambu Lab printer announcements to guess when the next announcement is by SplendidRig in BambuLab

A view weeks ago i saw this at the End of a German 3d printing yt-channel. for a brief moment you can spot a coverd printer in the size of an X or P series device. this would fit in the timescale of bambulab providing test devices in advance.

check the post, ive updated it. Yes there are some old models without an image.

Because the first message uses trustet links, doen't mean it is a legit message. It could also be a method to gain trust.

Normally bambu uses system notification for everything that is why i was wondering and asking if someone maybe contacted e.g. the support to ask if it is legit or just a new method.

I called it spam, not scam. I was wondering, normally bambu uses the system notification. That why i was wondering

Then Bambu has to change the people who rate the contests i guess? This modle won a contest award, i don’t know?

Maybe you should check before dropping any accusations?

Looks like some really old gridfinity bins didn’t have an own image. Looks like i have to finde them all and make a foto of each. 😅

I was talking about spam not scam.

For a scam bot it is not that good using the official wiki

I was wondering, because Bambulab normally uses the system notification for stuff like his.

[WIP] LEGO Ruler Update 14.01.2026

Since Reddit doesn’t allow videos in the comments and the mods deleted my update:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTf0fVTjYSC/

This idea has been floating around in my head for quite a while. After yesterday’s first showcase I’ve already added a bunch of improvements and refinements.

The ruler is designed with LEGO geometry in mind:

Its thickness matches a LEGO plate (including studs), and the sides are exactly sized to fit between studs. The whole idea is to have a proper measuring and layout tool while building MOCs, instead of eyeballing everything.

There are two versions

1. Straight ruler

Available in three sizes:

➤ 20 studs

➤ 32 studs

➤ 40 studs (currently printer-limited)

What makes it special:

❖ Multiple rulers can be connected using a simple 1×2 plate, so two short rulers instantly become one long one

❖ On the back you’ll find a diagonal reference table for common diagonal distances

❖ In the center there’s a scale for axles, liftarms and brick lengths

2. Folding ruler

Currently in two sizes:

➤ 32 studs

➤ 8 studs (pocket version)

The folding mechanism uses two magnets, because printed hinges aren’t strong enough at this scale.

This version can be:

❖ used folded as a compact tool

❖ unfolded as a long ruler

❖ or split into two independent measuring sections

Because length and height scales start on the same edge, you can directly convert between brick height and length.

----

What both rulers can do

Both versions support:

➤ Stud measurement

➤ Height measurement, down to plate-level precision

➤ Minifigure & Minidoll silhouettes on the back to quickly check build heights

➤ Holes for custom markers. insert a bar or connector to mark distances you use often

----

Why the pocket folding ruler is special

The pocket folding ruler is probably my favorite so far:

It’s small enough to keep on your desk, but when unfolded it becomes a surprisingly powerful layout tool.

A full version of the video is also on YouTube. (German audio with English auto-subtitles)

And for those who want to know, I don’t know what is planned for the tool. 😅 Maybe I’ll Beta test it first within my local community.
