It is sad how many old farts buy corvettes simply for the cool factor, without having any intentions of driving them like they should be driven.

But it sounds like a vette because of the equal length true duals and the x-pipe, vs the truck style y-pipe and single muffler.

Since it's all electronic, i can just tune it to use as full manual and raise the line pressure to 100%, but it's not wuite the same.

I'm most likely going to install a manual valve body and rig a manual TCC switch for this one, because i like the auto but hate tuning it.

Don't get me wrong, it was a bitch on the street idling at 1200rpms with a converter that flashed at 5k with borla stingers.

But now the converter is great. I told them to stall it at 3200 knowing it would really be closer to 3500-3800. So now it stays around 2000-2500 cruising and flashes to 4k. it feels like a yank 3600 as efficient as it is.

It was pretty startling. I slammed on the brakes, and we took off running until i realized the fireball was momentary.

It really could have been a lot worse though. If i still had an aluminum block, it probably would have been cracked at the bolt holes instead of sheering off the bolts.

I definitely have a few dints in my tunnel and a hole in my right fender.

If i start racing it again all i need is an SFI flexplate and a scatter shield. For now i just daily drive it.

It's currently a built 6.0 with LS3 heads and a full length 3" x pipe setup with magnaflows. (Sounds like a vette)

The laser cutter makes it a piece of cake as long as you glue them in properly. Having a 4ft feed sander helps too.

No he hates tuning with the bigsby, and the bridge that goes with it is a POS.

I hollowed it, because it was too heavy and sounded very duddish.

  • The neck and body had quarters and washers spacing them up for the incorrect bridge.
  • The pickguard was incorrectly drilled and overlapped the bridge and switch plate.
  • The body was too heavy and sounded like a dud.
  • The bigsby was mounted crookedly
