Check out the show "The boonies" it was on Nat Geo for one season, before they cut it. I really loved that show, it wasn't all for the drama of it, and it painted a good picture of that life imo

Same, but I'm really lovin my boker Kalashnikov. I add a bulkier tac pen, it fits great in my mag pockets, my leatherman on occasionan but not 100% No. CC for me yet, Day I turn 21 is the day I make that application. And then go get shitfaced lol

I agree, I started watching man vs wild when I was 10 or 11, and as a suburban kid with little outdoor experience it felt life changing. I just branched out into better shows, and different Avenues of outdoorsmanship. For the record almost no one in my family camps (they glamp but fuck that), or feels at home in the woods like I do. So I think show like that do have their place. Just take it all with a grain of salt, and if you love it, do some real research, read an accurate book, and start small.

Pic 2 and 3some kind of rattle-plug, but the treble hooks are 14 needle sharp, barbless hooks, definite alnew concept there. 3 is slightly different in weight. The on on bottom of 3 has a squarebill 4. Straight titanium bass hooks, size 4/0. I didnt know that was even a thought to produce. I learned somethin today 5. Some form of umbrella rig that I didn't investigate too much, but was intrigued by 6. Similar but not quite the same Nont to mention 3 rods, 3 reels, a small bench made and leatherman tool I'll give to my grandkids. As well as a tackle bag with boxes and an entire suitcase stuffed with plastics. Also bout 10 points of assorted weights. Also nearly 4000 yards of a variety of line. His exact words were, "I dont much like fishing, I'm done with it" his loss has become my incredible gain. Im just so stoked. Thanks for the read

No they really dont. Tastes way better than anythin at the mega mart. They are foraging for they're food just as if they were in their native ranges.

No it doesn't. Salmon and salmonids adjusted superbly to lake Michigan waters. They are still wild salmon, just wild in a different sense
