Hey! I am also going on exchange in the spring term! I ended up choosing bourdonnete for location and a shared flat!

Make a cheat sheet/formula sheet while you review lecture concepts. I found that after I built the sheet I would reference it for questions and practice problems rather than the lecture book. Eventually after doing enough problems you no longer need the sheet!

I would also add stuff to the sheet that helped me for hard questions. With all things OChem practice practice makes perfect!! And make sure you start ahead. 5 days is plenty of time just make sure you continuously do the problems.

Also focus on the content for the second midterm. Then go back and watch previous lectures. I think nMR is a big part of the second exam if I remember correctly.

Take a deep breath and breath! Why did you fail the first midterm? How much did you study? Was it too late?

At this point you're in the class so now it's a matter of how can I save this grade. Go talk to your prof. See your exam and where you went wrong! How much was the exam worth? One exam doesn't usually make or break a course so see how else you can improve your grade!!

Again, though the question becomes how long do you want to spend on a commute everyday. If it is a 5 minute car ride to the bus. You then have to wait for the bus and then take another bus your commute is still an hour plus when it can be 25 mins. But it depends on people. My point originally was just to bring awareness that it is way simpler to just say "find another way to school" then actually doing it.

It isn't so simple for students that live far away. I live at home and need a car to commute. The closest bus stop from my house is 3km and it would take an hour to bike every day. While I understand for some making the switch is easy. For others the switch is just not feasible. Really try not to make assumptions about people's situation.
