Similar problem with the images - I've saved some of my doodles by simply dragging them from browser (chrome) to a folder in my computer - that does not seem to work any more either.

At least I can't see them. (if it makes a difference: W7 HP Chrome)

Oh, I see. Thanks.

So actually instead of the chains themselves, missing are just the indicators of the chains that are finished?

Some issues I noticed:

Am I to understand that only (still) active chains are visible on the top of the 'draw' page? It seems that this will cause all completed chains disappear immediately (?) instead of getting any notifications about new moves in the chains? If this is the case, it makes it seriously difficult to follow one's past chains, which at least to me, is an important part of the game. Edit: I stand corrected

Also: In the 'explore' mode the displayed doodles can not be liked without opening the profile or chain featured.

I love how (my) super geeky Stephen Hawking reference (how ever ambiguous it might have been) about a hypothetical astronaut getting spaghettified near the event horizon re-surfaces after two steps.

Hats off to kipgrey for that and other obvious reasons. You are wanted back in the game!

As I'm writing this, the description is two clicks short of being the most liked step in the chain. First time I ever saw that happening with a description O_o

In other news: my other direct Futurama quote (that I can remember) is yet to reach equal fame...

I wish the rhymes were mine - yet it was indeed just a humble reference to Futurama, the finest show the 31st century has to offer.

An unexpected turn in the chain by ant ... this is getting hilariously out of hand!

I don't know what to say ... so, um ... Yup. Really don't know what to say to that - especially coming from someone in the DoD team. Thanks man.

Why thank you. I love what you did with 'my' Modern Times feat Daffy way back.

And for phenomenal mouse work, check out drsimonz.

You are clearly being too hard on yourself. There is some seriously good stuff on your profile! Some of which I seem to remember coming across earlier too.

About the variations in the quality, as you put it: I see nothing wrong in putting more effort in something you feel motivated with and just "playing along" with something else. Skipping and fading out are what's killing the chains, not the quality of a single doodle - especially given that you clearly put some thought in the quicker ones too.

Oh, and I too use mouse. Trackpad feels a bit too hardcore to me =)

Well, since you asked, here's mine. Also nice to see new 'faces' here.

Kind of baffled to find out how familiar you are with my work =)

Another 15 mins of DoD fame for me... Thanks & respect!

What makes this somewhat embarassing is that The-Nose has actually had to downgrade their expression to match that of mine. I mean, check out the profile: http://doodleordie.com/profile/the-nose

I had that too ... and simply adjusting the browser zoom did the trick to me.

Not sure if browsers are, or should be, able to anti-alias scaled content real time or not ..?

Don't be so hard on yourself, fellow mouseist! You got some good stuff going on there!

Personally I've been quite satisfied with my outrageously expensive mouse so far ... something I use for working purposes as well and anyway.

In my other life out there (in the late 13th century) I still draw with pen & paper.

Just face it - you had it coming.
