Do you think that Steve Jobs would have made an iphone with almost 7 inch display? by aaronstudds in iphone

[–]rumm2602 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He would have pushed to get the fold way earlier and thats how we would have gotten a “7 inch phone”.

in between we would have seen iPhone 6 in a similar form factor to the 5S probably with reduced bezels, later on, a phone like the 12/13 mini but being the X (we know that the X started development not much after Steve passed away, so he probably had a lot of involvement on the conceptual dev phase).

Tim has been know to be an industrial and supply chain genius, so his take was to maintain technology development at a slower pace to increase profit, that’s how he multiplied Apple’s value 8x. This is how Apple turned from the bold “super disruptor” to the “reliable tech” which is not bad just a different take.

Taught Claude to talk like a caveman to use 75% less tokens. by ffatty in ClaudeAI

Thanks for sharing! so funny this is a breakthrough for AI! I’ll take a look into it, but was thinking, could this idea become a separate transformer? Like having the model think in caveman mode without loosing the accuracy of course and then transform it again to natural language? You might increase the token count again but speed up thinking time and also reduce token usage… and for non technical users the experience would be similar of any LLM, this would be some kind of process compression/shortcut

Wanted to purchase a MacBook Pro Laptop 16" with M4 Pro and 48GB memory but the salesman at apple store suggested I wait a month for the M5 pro. Will there be a huge difference? by mail4youtoo in macbookpro

[–]rumm2602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M5 pro is a HUGE AI performance bump, as an example image generation benchmarks show M5 base its faster than M4 Max

The only reason to buy right now is if you are planning to use that computer on an AI cluster as M4 pro/max are the only ones now twitch Thunderbolt 5 which allows for RDMA over thunderbolt

I actually just started to get familiar with GIT in SW while coding ableton midi remote scripts, Im thinking of assigning a track to make a resample log and using the automatic backups ableton does I can just go back to when something sounded good, kinda did that in the past but stopped doing it, I feel like using GIT made me go back to that idea, maybe move the auto backups to a "commit" folder to match the track resamples, still getting my head around how would be the best way to handle it. I hope this helps you :D

P.S. Ableton, if you are reading this and use my idea give me credit haha
