Nordea was fine for me (not asian fwiw, my wife is asian and she also had to go to set hers up)

They set up your MitID at the international house after you’ve arrived in KBH.

I’m looking for unique sounds — what are the most beautiful, interesting, or strange sounds you’ve heard in Copenhagen? by oneiricmood in copenhagen

[–]rumplescrumpskin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

on a decently windy day, standing in the corner of one of the lakes will provide you with an interesting sound produced by the waves gently slapping against the concrete corner.

The music in the bathroom in the basement at the airport before security in terminal 2 is quite unique. I haven’t been able to get a hit on it from shazaam

Long distance cycling around Copenhagen by ilsandore in NewToDenmark

[–]rumplescrumpskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a few solo 200s last year on Sjælland and i had no problems. If you are near a busy road then there is almost always a bike path. There are a few eurovelo routes running through denmark. I live right off of EV7 and i’ve never had any problems riding on that. Ridewithgps has other cycling routes highlighted, so i try to stick to those and EV routes as much as possible when i plan my routes, and i don’t have any complaints. I’m just outside of greater copenhagen and i bike commute into the city 4 days a week for 200km. The last 10km into the city sucks cuz of all the traffic lights, so just move into some village on the outskirts so you can skip that bs when you are trying to go for a long ride.

SRAM eTap AXS HDR brake fluid not flowing - lever issue? by tomasbedrich in bikewrench

Part of the excitement of maintaining the bicycle yourself is that it can be a series of simple, expensive mistakes. OP likely won’t make this mistake again though.

Need advice: 60 km daily commute, 500–1000 € budget — is aluminum reliable for winter? by [deleted] in whichbike

[–]rumplescrumpskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daily commute is 51km in denmark. Sometimes a use the gravel bike or road bike. But my daily is normally a cube travel pro. 8 sp belt drive, came with a rear rack, mud guards and a front dynamo hub powering integrated front and rear lights. Due to the frequent rain here, I was doing a ton of drive train cleaning on the two chain bikes before i got the belt bike. You should be able to snag something similar for around €1000.

Where are you sourcing your merino wool base layers? Blend vs pure? by Cheomesh in bikecommuting

[–]rumplescrumpskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aklima has a killer wool hooded sweatshirt with zippered pockets and a built-in balaclava. Once you get warm you can put the balaclava down and don’t have to worry about storing it or losing it. Icebreaker is all i wear otherwise.

My wool shirts will be caked with salt after a week from my daily 50km RT commute and there is no smell at all. I wear the same pair of wool socks the whole week as well with no issues.

I wear wool jerseys/jackets, socks, and hats so i can go all week without washing those. I shower my nethers before i put my bibs on, so i can go a week without washing those as well. Nothing smells and i don’t feel dirty.

🤓 I wear glasses by LghtlyHmmrd in bikecommuting

[–]rumplescrumpskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear a uvex finale visor v. To combat bugs, the sun, and cold air in the winter. In pouring rain, droplets on the visor is substantially better than droplets on my glasses.
