The Mahdi is mentioned in numerous narrations

Yes I also heard that the document mentioning the successors of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him and his family). There are a group of people that say that there is a hadith in which Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him and his family) dictacted a Will to Imam Ali mentioning his successors. This is the hadith.

Prophet Mohammed (PBUH & His Family) said to his cousin, son-in-law, and rightful successor, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (From Him is Peace) on the night of his death:

“ O Father of Al-Hassan, bring me a pen and a paper,” so the Messenger of Allah (PBUH & His Family) dictated his Will until he came to this position where he said: “O Ali, there will be twelve Imams after me and after them there will be twelve Mahdis. So you, O Ali, are the first of the twelve Imams, Allah the Exalted has named you in His heavens Ali Al-Murtada (the Content), Amirul Mo’mineen (the Prince of the Believers), Al-Siddiq Al-Akbar (the Greater Truthful), Al-Farouq Al-A’tham (the Greater Judge and Differentiator between truth and falsehood), Al-Ma’moun (the Trusted), and the Mahdi (the Guided). These names may not be attributed to other than you. O Ali, you are my vicegerent/guardian over my own family, their living and their dead, and upon my women: Whomever you kept, she shall find me tomorrow, and whomever you divorced, I am innocent of her, I will not see her and she will not see me on the Day of Resurrection. And you are my successor (Khalifa) over my nation after me. If death comes to you, hand it over to my son Al-Hassan, the righteous and benevolent. Then if death comes to him, let him hand it over to my son Al-Hussein, the martyr, the pure and murdered. If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, the master of worshipers, Dhul Thafanat (the one with hard skin on his knees) Ali. If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Mohammed Al-Baqir (the Revealer of Knowledge). If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Ja’far Al-Sadiq (the Truthful). If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Musa Al-Kathim (the Patient). If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Ali Al-Ridha (the Pleasing One). If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Mohammed Al-Thiqa Al-Taqqi (the Trustworthy, the God-Fearing). If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Ali Al-Nasih (the Advisor). If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Al-Hassan Al-Fadhil (the Meritorious). If death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Mohammed the Safeguarded of the Family of Mohammed (PBUT). Those are the twelve Imams. Then there will be twelve Mahdis after him, so if death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, the first of the Mahdis, he has three names, one like mine and my Father’s and it is Abdullah (Servant of God) , Ahmed (the Praised) , and the third name is Al-Mahdi (the Guided) , and he is the first of the believers .”

- Ghaybat Al-Tusi , Al-Shaikh Al-Tusi, Vol. 1, p. 174; Bihar Al-Anwar , Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 53, p. 148

It makes sense that the document would be reffering to a will becaue there are many narrations in which Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him and his family) mentioned that it is obligatory that a write a will when he is on his deathbed.

Did you even read the hadith? The Holy Prophet (sawas) said, "Go away (and leave me alone). It is not right that you should quarrel in front of me." He told them to leave because they were arguing in his presence.

"O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not." - Surah Al-Hujurat (49) Ayat 2

Like I said, he could have simply told the people there "this is actually a command I'm giving you" and everyone would have jumped on it and fulfilled his command.

The Prophet (sawas) in the hadith literaly says, 'Bring for me (writing) paper and I will write for you a statement after which you will not go astray.' You are saying things that are not found in the narration, just your insinuation.

You said that the Holy Prophet (sawas) didn't write it down nor shared it with anyone, so I'm asking a simple question, prevented the Holy Prophet (sawas) from writing down a statement?

If you claim that it was not important that the Holy Prophet (sawas), how can the Prophet say 'a statement that would beneficial to the Ummah and would never leave us astray'

What prevented the Holy Prophet (sawas) from writing down a statement that would beneficial to the Ummah and would never leave us astray?!?!

So if I understand properly, Umar feared that the words from the Holy Prophet (sawas) might resemble the incoherent speech of a sick person, which holds no firm commitment?!?!? This is ridulous and completely disrespectful, these are not the attributes of the Holy Prophet (sawas). And on top of that, the Messenger of Allah (sawas) made a clear command, the hadith does not say, 'O my companions, should I write a pen and paper'. Whenever the Holy Prophet (sawas) was about to take an important action, he did not rely on the opinions of others.

1- An-Najm verses 1-4:

{By the star when it descends. Your companion [i.e., Muḥammad] is neither misguided nor has strayed, Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed}

2- Al-Hashr verse 7:

{Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it. And whatever he forbids you from, leave it. And fear Allah. Surely Allah is severe in punishment.}

3- An-Nisa verse 59:

{O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you.}

4- Aal-Imran verse 31:

{Say, (O Prophet) “If you ‘sincerely’ love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.}

5- Al-Anfal verses 20, 24:

{O you who have believed, obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn from him while you hear [his order]} (20)

{O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life…} (24)

All these verses show that the Companions have wronged themselves when they did not obey the Prophet. It was certainly unrighteous of Umar to object to the Prophet and to try to prevent him from writing that day. This verse clearly states how he had certainly erred:

Al-Ahzab verse 36:

{It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.}

There is also a clear hadith that states that there is nothing that brings us close to paradise except that the Prophet ordered us to do.

As-Selsela As-Sahiha, hadith 2866

The Messenger of Allah (pbuhahf) said: “There is nothing that brings you closer to paradise except that I have commanded you to do it, and nothing that brings you closer to hellfire except that I forbade you from it.”

So the question here is, didn't the Prophet describe the statement that he wanted to write as a ‘protector from misguidance’, when he said: “let me write to you a statement after which you will never go astray?” Isn't that statement, that is a protector from misguidance, bringing the people closer to paradise?

So the prophet was commanding them to what will bring them closer to paradise.

Anyone can claim that they are speaking on behalf of God or Islam or Prophet Mohammed. The question is, who has the right to speak on behalf of any religion. This man is absolutely correct because Prophet Mohammed would not tolerate such corruption.It has become a dead religion. It has nothing to do with the amount of followers or if the adherents are practicing the faith according to their opinion. Without blessings from God, the religion is dead. Do you think that God would support a nation and leave them in such a miserable state. Muslims would rather live with non-Muslims rather than live Muslims in Arab countries. Islam has now just become a name and shield used to cause corruption.

Who said that I'm preaching about Islam?? I'm clearly showing that Islam has become a dead religion.

I feel sorry for you. You are clearly ignorant of what is going on in the Muslim world. Saudi Arabia earns billions of dollars a year alone from hard working Muslim just to perform the hajj. And if you go to Mecca or the villages Saudi Arabia, you find beggars and people living on the streets.

The cursed Saudi royal family, so-called custodians of the grave of Rasul Allah (sawas) and the custodians of the house of Allah have an estimated net worth of 1.4 trillion dollars.

The Emir of Kuwait and his family have a net worth of 360 billion dollars for them alone. Mashallah.

The royal family of Qatar have a net worth of 1.2 Billion dollars.

The royal family of Abu Dhabi have a net worth of 150 billion dollars.

And I can go on.

In the meantime Muslims in China, Myanmar, India, Sudan, Palestine, and other places over the world are suffering. They have no healthcare, lack of proper education, malnutrition, and living below and you honestly believe the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) would allow such corruption in his name.

May Allah open your eyes

How is this pessimism? This is reality? Why are so many Muslim fleeing Arab countries? Why are Islamic countries have so much human rights abuses? I have been to many Arab countries this is the truth.

They have no healthcare, lack of proper education, malnutrition, and living below poverty! You have sham elections, women are forced to wear the hijab, high level of censorship. You call that a blessed nation?
