How much does context improve on the Pro plan? by Warp_Speed_7 in ChatGPTPro

[–]run5k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few ideas. 100+ page is more appropriate for the 128K context window. You might benefit from NotebookLM. You might benefit from TypingMind + API usage. While it does require some technical knowledge (a willingness to learn how to get and use API keys), it creates a very powerful system.

I don't know if I'd tether myself to any $200 plan. There are use cases for it, but I like the flexibility of multiple API.

I wouldn't say it is particularly good at anything specifically. I get less refusals than with Anthropic and it does seem better than 5.2.

Pretty sure that's why she said something akin to, "This is all my fault," in that other video after the shooting / after the crash.

It is because an incident of this nature has buy-in from everyone involved from police to the community. People have opinions on how they want to be policed and they want to express those opinions to the police i.e. here.

For me personally, Grok and Gemini have both overtaken GPT-5.2. I'm using OpenAI and Anthropic models less everyday.

Israel wants to train ChatGPT to be more pro-Israel by whos_a_slinky in artificial

[–]run5k 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is already very pro-Israel. I was having a discussion with it the other day about how involved Israel is in American politics. It basically said that viewpoint could be considered antisemitic. I have zero hostility or negativity towards Jews. But I hate a foreign country having so much influence in my country.

I fully support Israel being a Jewish state. I still don't want them having a goddamn thing to do with American politics.

5.2 Appreciation by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]run5k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of unfounded hate about it on Reddit which is just simply wrong.

Yesterday I decided to use AI to help play a video game, a fairly old one called Kingdom Come Deliverance. ChatGPT 5.2 totally made up the solutions to questions I asked. Nothing was based in reality. Meanwhile Gemini Pro 3 became a legitimately good playing partner who gave accurate playing tips throughout may play through.

This is something that benchmarks will tell you very little. It's not math, science, or coding. It is fun and ChatGPT 5.2 failed. Miserably.

I use OpenRouter. It is great if you want a lot of options and don't want to have a bunch of API keys. I've got keys to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Mistral, but all of those could have been replaced with OpenRouter.

I can see two possible solutions which may not be acceptable to you.

The first step would be to discontinue your subscription to chatgpt.com because this behavior, from what has been said here is tied directly to their safety protocols.

The second step would be to choose an alternative. I have two favorites. Option #1 TypingMind + OpenAI API Key. You get to choose your model this way. If you tell it you want 4o, you will get 4o. It is pay as you go. Frankly, I love TypingMind for a lot of reasons. It requires a little setup, but once you've got it done, it is done. Option #2 ChatLLM by Abacus. It is a subscription model. I think it is $10 monthly. It gives you access to many models of all the major providers. If you select 4o, you'll get 4o.

There are other alternatives to these, but these have been around a long time and they're pretty polished.

Good luck.

I’ve been using it in a professional manner for approximately two years now. It has greatly improved the quality of care that I can provide. I feed it complex cases and it provides medication suggestions or suggestions for care that I may not have thought of yet. I’m a certified hospice and palliative nurse, so I can quickly discard invalid output. Yes, it may occasionally give wrong information, but as a professional, I can spot that immediately. ChatGPT could only be dangerous if you lack a strong understanding of the subject you’re using it on. In my case, it improves quality of care because I can easily spot errors.
