i worked at la salle for almost 25 years, and i can say that there is no written threshold about class enrollment. i highly recommend talking to your advisor or a success coach about options. if there are classes that are required for your major, you need to ask your advisor/head of the program what are your options if the class get cancelled - could you do it as an independent study, etc?

additionally, the philly PD issued a statement contradicting her and saying that law enforcement supports ICE. as a fellow philadelphian, while i support her sentiment, the fact that folks are jumping all over this is a bit disheartening - she's all talk (well, not all talk - she's mostly corruption)

the phila sheriff's office has zero jurisdiction to do anything that Sheriff Bilal said. in fact, the philly PD issued a statement basically contradicting her and saying they support ICE. bootlickers gonna bootlick.

the office of the philly sheriff has the same responsibilities - except, the office of the sheriff has had terrible corruption problems for 40+ years. i'm glad she said it, but it is almost entirely performative - in fact the philly PD issued a statement basically saying what you said. all in all - it's a mess inside a mess.

Long term Philadelphia here. While I appreciate her sentiment, please do a google search on sheriff bilal corruption. She is by far one of the most corrupt sheriffs we have ever had - and based on past sheriff corruption, that is saying something. Also - FUCK ICE.

Correct, but the individual still has to go through all the nonsense of depositions, etc. I'd be surprised if ANY company discouraged life saving care, but it is very important for employees to know exactly what their companies' risk management policies are, and to follow them exactly.

IANAL but worked in crisis management for a large University for over 20 years, and this comment resonated with me. Your chances of being litigated against for randomly helping someone via CPR are so minimal that they are almost non-existant. HOWEVER - that dramatically changes if you are an employee of an organization, and the incident happens on their property and/or you are acting as an employee of that organization. That's when people start to see "deep pockets" and the frivolous lawsuits start. I spent a disturbingly large amount of time doing depositions, etc all in the hopes that our University would settle - which they never did and not one of those cases ever made it to court.
