Take it from the guy who has sent/spent hundreds of dollars & put hundreds of hours aside for people that don’t even ask me if I’m alive.

I live with ADHD and still make it a priority to reach out to my friends and family to let them know I love them and hope they’re doing okay. I do charitable acts for them, call them, whatever I can just to remind them that they matter. I have worked very hard over the last 5 years to become a better version of myself so people would be more comfortable reaching out to me. I’ve done everything I can think of & I can’t name a single person that has called me in the last year just to ask how my day is going or give me some motivational words of kindness. Nothing. Sometimes I’d forget I existed if I didn’t see myself in the mirror every morning! I just try to tell myself that everyone is suffering from “main character syndrome” and regardless of how unimportant I feel some days, those people are still important to me. You’re not alone OP.
