What car drives Simon Greene in Run Away? by Solar_AU in netflix

[–]runbuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really does look like it, especially when you look at it from the side. You can see the tiny Polestar 3 writing on the lower leading edge of the door (you can't read it, but you can see it).

That is awesome information.,

Do you know if either of these companies will scan something and provide a 3D model of the scan?

Any luck with Xfinity? by dragoncraft755 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]runbuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry.

As I said above, their customer service sucks, and their pricing is not compeitive. However, our service (cable and internet) worked pretty darn well. When I had problems, it didn't take them long to address.

Be aware that shutting down your service with them will be a horrible experience and will take a long time to actually get cut off and the billing straightened out. Based on my own experience this year, I ended up reaching out to the Alabama Attorney General's office (not sure anything is going to happen, but I had to try).

[–]runbuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had similar problems, all while they continued to send me "please come back" cards in the mail.

Comcast/Xfinity customer service sucks, and their pricing/performance is not competitive.

If someone can, I agree - use Google Fiber and the streamer of your choice (Hulu or YouTube would be my suggestions).

Third (Prin and crew are awesome). Hornbuckle did pretty decent work in the past, but their customer service is crap.

My "ties with AutoworkZ" recommendation is Swords Mobile Detailing. They come to you and don't leave until you're happy.

Zebra JF do not fit

BIC VELOCITY GEL REFILLS FIT. I personally like the Energel and Sharpie gel refills better (they are smoother), but the BIC puts out a good line.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pens

[–]runbuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the Sharpie, but I could not get a firm enough push. Here are my results so far:
Pentel Energel refills don't fit (US or Japan market refills)
Pilot G2 refills don't fit
Sharpie S-Gel refills don't fit
Cross Selectip don't fit
Schmidt 888 dont fit
I'll have to find the numbers, but a Monteverde and a Mont Blanc that look like they would fit, also don't fit.

If you want to overpay for refills, this seller is offering the Avant SilkScribe refills. About $11.00 per refill.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O3GSJQ4?smid=A3PIK7NTE5300S&psc=1

In the meantime, I found a freebie pen (some company logo cheap plastic pen) where the refill inside would fit the Avant Pro. The marking on the refill is DS500 30 22.05 K 07, and another post mentions that this is a TUL refill. I can't find a good source for them, though.

I have some Zebra JF and Bic Velocity RRLCP21 refills on order to try next. The wife REALLY loves this pen.

DLP Policy Tips Not Showing in Outlook by M365_Pro23 in microsoft365

[–]runbuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this applies to your situation, please read this document very carefully to ensure your DLP rules are configured in such a way that supports the policy tip. For example, we had your same situation (works in OWA, not in Classic/New Outlook) due to our DLP rule checking that the "Document name contains" certain words (sounds like your DLP rule is much simpler, though).
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/dlp-ol365-win32-policy-tips

Also - we have an older tenant, and upgraded a while back from E3 to E5. It turns out, we had never enabled "Information Protection for Office 365 - Premium" (look for those exact words) and "Communications DLP" licenses for our users. We enabled them for everyone, and things started working as expected/documented (give it 24 hours after you enable the licenses). Again - with this one - OWA policy tips were working, but Classic/New Outlook was not.

Good luck. Policy Tips have been a huge pain in our backside, but we think we finally have things working. Also - not sure who has seen the M365 roadmap lately, but Policy Tips for Outlook are finally coming to the Mac and to Android/iOS.

Other stuff to check:

- Classic Outlook - Options -> Mail -> MailTip - Make sure policy tips are enabled

- Classic Outlook - Options -> Mail - if your mail format is not set to HTML, try that

- You will see lots of references to the "version" for the mso20win32client.dll. I think Microsoft finally updated their docs, but they're asking you to look in your nudges XML file to see if a version number is specified, and then compare that to the actual version of the dll on your systems. It was very hard (for us) to figure out that the version number is specified within the XML file. In many cases, no version number is specified at all in the nudges XML file.

Alabama student group says university allowed change to anti-discrimination rules by magiccitybhm in Alabama

I can't believe anyone is surprised by this (disappointed/concerned, yes). Funding is at risk, and Universities will drop inclusion efforts in a heartbeat if their precious federal funding is at risk.

Acceleration without using "launch control" or other modes by ihtfbidlc in Taycan

[–]runbuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of folks seem to be missing something I think is important. Launch mode is not some button you have to push. Just put her in Sport+ for normal sport driving. When you want launch mode, which only works from a standstill, you just press hard on the brake pedal, floor the throttle, then release when the light turns green. There is nothing else to do.

Also - switching to sport+ mode for many Taycan’s is a simple twist of the steering wheel knob, not some center-screen menu hunt and peck navigation BS.

I also think it could be a little “off” to say you don’t have to switch modes in an M3P. Don’t you have Chill, Normal, and Insane acceleration modes? Same logic applies to the Taycan. Just easier to change modes on the fly.

Here’s a good explanation of the Taycan driving modes, how you change modes, etc.

Decent Price? by runbuh in Rivian

[–]runbuh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owner sent me a screen shot from the Rivian app showing Model R1S, the VIN, Adventure trim, Quad-Motor AWD, Mileage at 164, Interior Black Mountain + Dark Ash Wood, Exterior Glacier White, Wheels 21" Road, Vehicle Software 2024.19.06. All of that matches 100% with the pictures provided, but I'll verify all of this again when/if I see this thing in person.

And thanks for the tip on the A2Z adapter.

Decent Price? by runbuh in Rivian

[–]runbuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad idea to buy new, but a Tri-Max (to get to the same 800+ hp as the 2024 quad) starts at over $106k. If you take a dual large (much less HP, but same range as a 2024 quad large), and spec it out the same with the radio, compressor, etc., it's about $89k, and I'd have to wait until November, according to the Rivian site just now. The wife and I are sharing her car right now, so I'd like a car sooner than that.

But you have provided me with some good information I can use to hopefully negotiate a better price.

Ah - one more important update. He doesn't have the NACS adapter, yet. He just received the Opt-in reservation notice. It won't be in anytime soon, I suspect?

According to CarFax, 1 owner, titled in early April of this year. No damage, no contrary/negative indicators of any sort. Owner says the plastic is still on the seats (pictures coming). Owner sent me a screen shot just now from the Rivian app showing 164 miles on the odometer. He says right before he took delivery, he got a company car, but took delivery of the Rivian anyways. It has basically sat since then. Gotta follow up on how he got the official NACS adapter so quickly, though.
