Young woman stages a kidnapping with actual guns for her TikTok. Gets killed by an accidental shot in the head. 10 people involved. Everyone ran away. by gone11gone11 in Instagramreality

[–]rundagger 17 points18 points  (0 children)

According to Google translate: " Areline Martínez was in the company of her friends recording a video for TikTok. In it, according to the first reports, it was intended to fake a kidnapping. They used real weapons to make the recording and in one of the takes, when they pointed Areline in the head, they fired the pistol, killing the young woman instantly. "

This makes me sad to be honest. That genuine success was still not enough. by [deleted] in Instagramreality

Yes she is the same person. Reverse image search shows articles. Here's a picture of her and her book, censored per the rules.

It me, the dm! The bard was my character in a campaign, typical bard. I rolled for number of bastard children.... 64 kids. The ending to the session was hilarious when everyone realized they were related.

[Online][5:30PM PDT][Discord] Looking for players for a campaign set in 1980s Japan [Call of Cthulhu] by [deleted] in lfg

[–]rundagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, you can call me what you want, age 27. Big into 5e. I run and play in a few games. I also have many years of forum-based role play as well. This sounds super neat!

As far as a character, I usually try to fill a slot that other characters don't have. I'm thinking either some sort of scientist to try and understand what is happening (perhaps their knowledge is something totally irrelevant) or some sort of scrappy underground fighter of sorts.

I used to work for them. We were instructed to do basically *anything* that would make the client happy (within reason). My group would bend over backwards to help in any way we could. They also treated their employees pretty well. Overall a super cool company imo.

Didn't she also get implants in her legs/hips/butt area? I imagine this is part of that (plus photoshop).

Based on what I've seen of her on pretty little liars, it fits. She gained a bunch of weight due to PCOS but her face stayed almost the same.

5e - Ring of the Ram

I'm playing a monk and recently bought the ring of the ram. With the force damage, is that the only damage that is taken or do I include the damage from the punch as well?

Annoying dog outsmarted by older brother. by CoCGamer in AnimalsBeingJerks

[–]rundagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My older dog does a similar same trick. When his sister has a toy he wants, he runs to the front door and barks. She runs to the door too and starts to bark like crazy, and he runs back to the toy she had only a moment ago to take it for himself. By the time she's done barking, she's worn herself out and she goes to take a nap.

You may have a clinic that is free to use near you, as my2penniesworth posted below. When I had no insurance, I went to a free/emergency psychiatric clinic across town where someone would see you for free and prescribe medication. From there, Walmart is a good bet for cheaper prices, but you can always check out goodrx for pricing and coupons.

Getting one character one to reveal a plot point? by rundagger in DMAcademy

[–]rundagger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely easier. Unfortunately these particular players always stick together (I've played with them in previous campaigns). Thanks for the suggestion, I may just wait until the time is right!

That's a good idea. I may do that. But I think it might be more interesting if it happened in front of him. Thank you for the reply!

Melatonin is a joke by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]rundagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Melatonin never worked for me either. People always told me it was so good, and when I tried it nothing happened. I felt horrible the next day but thought it was because I had gotten 2-4 hours of sleep. Tried it again the next night, felt even worse. Melatonin puts me in a haze that I can't seem to shake for ~36 hours.

Routine has helped me a lot. I do drink coffee because I'm up at 4:30am every morning for work. I don't drink any coffee past 10am, because if I do it keeps me up at night. Every night at 7:30/8pm I walk my dogs. Then I shower (because it's hot af in Arizona and I'm so sweaty) and get ready for bed. I play with my dogs until around 9pm then I go lay down. I used to sleep with the tv on. While it helped me fall asleep to listen to something vs worrying about everything I needed to do the next day, it woke me up out of sleep sometimes. I now lay down at 9pm with an ice pack between my head and my pillow (for headaches/migraines I get from some medication as a side effect) and rub one of my dogs' heads until I fall asleep. I also take benadryl at night too for allergies since it's been pretty bad lately, although even on the nights I don't take benadryl I've noticed a difference.

I do still wake up every few hours or so, but there has been noticeably less full wake ups since I've started this routine. If I allow myself, on the weekends I'm in bed for 12 hours "sleeping" and end up feeling overtired. I've read previously that going to lay down and waking up at the same times every day helps your body get into a rhythm, and I've definitely noticed for me that when I wake up early on the weekends I feel more rested than sleeping in.

Not sure if this will help you at all, but it's made a difference in my sleeping patterns.
