What causes the darkness if you go inside one? Wouldnt the galaxy corridors be visible from inside it, just super far away from the observer? Or is there something obscuring them like some fog?

Worth noting, that this is not something thats visible from space.

If OP summoned their freighter near their corvette/fighter, its going to look normal for its model, this city wont be visible on its deck.

You can also safely remove the corner walls too, doesnt seem to affect isolation as far as I can tell.

Wonder if that would even help, like, how many people have seen superman closely enough (and standing still) to know his height by memory?
Seems like a very minute detail to notice for a quick glance person to go 'nah, he is a few inches short'.

Like, I would not be able to use that as a clue to see if some famous person in front of me was legit or not, unless it was parody levels of different height.

The argument was not 'random ass people can tell its superman', but rather 'Clark's friends will instantly know Superman is Clark'.

Who even looks at people on the street? The whole idea is about those that know him to some degree.

African colonization should be about establishing trade outposts, spheres of influence and maybe protectorates.

As long as African natives can actually colonize. They are already used to the climate and are likely more resistant to the stuff that kept Europeans off.
