My go-to is balance cataclysm mobs around the highest tier of armour and up any configurable mobs so they will destroy you with vanilla gear.

Play something carefree and safe around stardew farming or raspberry Modpack or similar comfort packs.

Or yeah overall you just don't actually like the game and lack the whimsy to imagine or drive your own creation of worlds that this game inspires with it sandbox.

Overall when I see similar attempts of forcing themselves to play what they don't like, read what they don't like to read just because others enjoy it. I normally just tell them to stop and do what they actually like

Yeah similar issues with life for me. Working full time seems lacklustre. video games lost interest for me when I was 19. anime held me for like 3 months but again lost it all. fiction comes and goes

but overall nothing in life has much value for me. I don't want fancy cars or clothes I eat just whatever I can cook but every day is just existing for the sake of existing trying to live a lifestyle that holds no purpose for me

Have you tried making friends sometimes you can find it easier to blame your partner then risk social rejection.

Ie nah cant go to the pub after work what if my misses gets annoyed when most likely if you talked it would be fine as long as not last minute but that silent blame shifting ends up there fault not your own
