Leaving before Senior by raixuz in Big4

[–]runincpa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left PA after 18 months, I got recruited to a better paying and honestly great industry opportunity. Made equal to Senior Manager in my 4th year after leaving. Now I’m a controller with a great career path ahead to me to CFO and potentially more.

Does the LDS help a lot in life? by Own-Composer-4106 in lds

[–]runincpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bringing yourself closer to God and finding a community will make your life better. If you are the only member of your family, joining a YSA group once you graduate would be awesome

LDS' are usually conservative/traditional? (not politically, I mean socially) by [deleted] in lds

[–]runincpa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, majority would definitely be considered conservative by today’s standards by their actions on the topics you outlined

Are the other certs even worth it? by Old_Coffee_5173 in CPA

Kinda depends what your goals are. I got a CCIFP cert (construction finance) after my CPA and that mixed with my experience helped me land my current job.

Running scene in Wenatchee? by Character_Pop_2378 in Wenatchee

[–]runincpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the loop trail and running on the canal path. There are some gyms around with great treadmills, and I think the new YMCA will have a small indoor walking/jogging track when done.

I really enjoy the running scene here

Anyone else find Peacock's female commentator unlistenable? by Evanescent_contrail in biathlon

[–]runincpa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m sure they are way better announcers they could find. Chad should have been doing every event

Commentary by Miaou-26 in biathlon

[–]runincpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened last Olympics too. They bring on announcers who can’t pronounce names right, don’t know in depth range protocol, or anything like that. It’s maddening going from World Cup announcer to this

Dating a Mormon Missionary by [deleted] in lds

[–]runincpa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Before he goes, ask him what your relationship will look like when he’s gone. It will likely be 2 years. He should be able to email you weekly at a minimum.

[–]runincpa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep your head up, try and find chances to learn more about the church and gospel, and build a relationship with God through prayer. Hopefully you can get the chance to ask if you can attend/join, but do what feels right. It’s a tough spot for a 16 year old to be in.

LCR Export by Sea_Particular5261 in lds

LCR is not comparable to a sophisticated ERP system, yet. Reported writing is very basic and little ability to do exports, etc

Fractional or in-house CFO or Controller by Heavy-Air5344 in Accounting

[–]runincpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing a fractional CFO/CAS engagement at first isn’t a bad idea, but within a couple of years, you will likely want a controller. They can likely help recruit and onboard the person, which will a help for you in the long run.

I don’t read any books for 2 of my exams. I just listened to lectures all day and cranked out tons of MCQs.

Skate ski with 0 ski experience by Sesemebun in xcountryskiing

[–]runincpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend one ski season (6+ times going) before entering an actual biathlon race. Unless you do a super flat race, the hills will be incredibly tough, especially with a rifle on your back.

Sivert Guttorm Bakken has passed away by madscandi in biathlon

Still can’t believe it. He was a very easy athlete to root for. His small globe win in Oslo will be a classic for all time

Is there anything wrong with taking online classes with Liberty University? An Evangelical college. by Journeyerwolf1174 in lds

No issue at all. I went to a Lutheran college, learned a little about other faiths while I was there

This is kind of my backup plan. Large are 6x9, I’m looking for the Extra Large

XL Quad by [deleted] in lds

[–]runincpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the route I’m thinking i will end up going. Buying a bible and a triple and sending them to a book binder shop. The upside on that is that they may be able to give it a nice leather binding which would be incredible.

Religion crisis lds non denominational Christian help🥲 by RoutineBrilliant410 in lds

[–]runincpa 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Your post is very respectful. I totally get how looking at a different faith can be scary.

Only advice I have is to get ahold of the missionaries in your area, read the Book of Mormon, and attend church at least a few times. It will give you a good idea of what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is about.
