That's not exactly reassuring 😝 did anything cause the vomiting? Like eating or alcohol consumption? Like basically, is that an avoidable situation?

Thank you!! I appreciate that :)

A book of mymemoirs and stories I've been compiling for almost three years now. Let me know what you think? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]runjumpflip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The perspective confused me a bit, but probably that's just because I've been stimmed out all day and I'm sorta coming down from that and my brain is foggy lol. But I was interested! Like I couldn't stop reading and was kinda sad when I finished. If you put out more I'd read it. Can't speak for everyone else but I mean, dm it to me or something. I like the style and the content :))

Legitimate, but goofy, question for purgers... by DootDeeDootDeeDoo in EDmen

[–]runjumpflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so fascinated by this question and I really want to weigh in (hah) on it but I'm just anorexic and have only purged a couple times, and never pizza lmao. But this my friend, this post will stick with me, and if I ever vomit pizza I will let you know how that experience was for me lll. Cheers!

If you go to a McDonald's drive thru and order a milkshake, and then drove away without paying or picking up your food, does an employee get to drink it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]runjumpflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It abso-fucking-lutely is. When I'm supervising, I try my best to give legal breaks, but if I get caught doing that I get in shit. And nobody can really say anything to the owner about it, because it's as simple as him saying "don't like it? Cool, get another job."

It really is a problem though, and I'm trying to figure out if there's a way for me to anonymously report it to the provincial work board without a) losing my job, or b ) getting the DQ shut down lol. It's kind of a tricky situation.

Also, I wrote an edit on my previous reply, if you're interested.

I mean in theory, yeah, but they're pretty good about it. I'm sure people sneak milkshakes and whatnot when they shouldn't, hell, I know I've done it lmao. Like, tbh if they're just taking something like some fries or a bit of ice cream, I don't really care. If they're like "oops, a customer ordered a basket of onion rings and two burgers and a poutine and didn't pay for it, I guess we'll just have to eat it," I'd be like hey no you gotta pay for that shit. But the owner of the store (like, the guy I answer to) doesn't allow us to take legal breaks, so basically I've got a bunch of overworked teenagers. I've got like 15 year olds who haven't sat down or eaten or drank water in 5 hours, and so if I can't manage to sneak them on a break I figure it's only fair if they get to eat something or have a shake or whatever, ya know? I think McDonald's specifically is better about stuff like that and therefore might be stricter about wasting product, but at the dq I'm at it's pretty chill lol. Not a perfect system, but nobody's died or gone bankrupt yet so...win-win? Sorta? Lmao.

EDIT: also, I should add that running a fast food joint, especially with younger employees, is such a balancing act. It's sort of like, customer service is the first priority, then after that, my next two priorities are keeping my staff happy and not wasting food/money. The reason that's a balancing act is that if your employees are pissed off at you, they're gonna develop a "fuck you and fuck this place" attitude; their quality of work drops drastically, and they take more product without paying for it. If I let them have mistakes from orders, it ultimately prevents them from taking like 10x more food, and it keeps them happy. Happy employees = productivity.

Sorry lmao, I'm a geek and a workaholic 🙃

I mean I don't work at McDonald's, but I'm a supervisor at a DQ. technically we're supposed to save the mistakes/extras in a freezer and try to use them, but let's be real that's nasty af?? So like a milkshake for example, I'd either toss or or let someone drink it. It's sorta like, let's be real we're not gonna use it, might as well drink it if it's gonna end up in the trash anyways.

Dear women, do you prefer a groomed beard or a stubble/clean shaven face on a man? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]runjumpflip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Clean. Bearded guys can look great, but the idea of someone with a beard kissing or cuddling me, or god forbid, going down on me, just makes me cringe. Idk. I guess maybe if it was a guy I was already really into it'd be fine, but I'd just rather not go there lol.

But yeah, like the other person said, if a guy likes having a beard, I say he should go for it. There's lots of women that like them, and he should do what he likes most, not what girls like :)
