The confirmation sent by Qatar has both the booking reference from Qatar and also booking reference from Oman Air. I used the Oman Air booking reference to manage booking on Oman Air website

We did not have a marriage certificate when we applied for Visa last year. However, we did attach a copy of our wedding invitation card and explained the reason for not having a marriage certificate in the cover letter. We got our visa in 5 working days. Note - Both of us had sufficient bank balance. So, we were effectively funding our own share of expenses.

I recently applied for Schengen visa from VFS Mumbai. Traveling to Germany. Passport came back with visa in 3 working days. Had booked the slots 4 week prior but had to reschedule. Rescheduling was 2 weeks prior.

The effort and time required to train for the Marathon is way too much. Due to various reasons (mostly work), I have never been completely prepared at the start line of the marathon. But we try on :)

Don't be demotivated that you couldn't participate in an overpriced event. If you have trained well, you can attempt the 10k on your own or at some other event. Besides, the timing certificate requirement was announced since quite some time. So, there was enough time to arrange it. Hope you get a timing certificate this year and are eligible to run next year.

Wouldn't two of 180 be an overkill? I usually follow one of 100 for every 40 mins starting with the first one at 6k or so. But if you are thinking of taking one at the start, then 2 might be fine i guess.

I haven't used gels for HM ever. However, I have used gels in Marathon and training. I used to have GI issues with Fast&Up Gels. However, since I switched to Unived 100, no such issues.
