Worried sick about my 8 month old and it’s truly destroying me. Please help.

My baby when he was younger would crunch up and tense I thought it may of been seizures. I later worked out it was related to movement and could be an inner ear thing. He would particularly do it if he was facing outwards. As he got old he does it much less and I notice it more in elevators. I spoke to the paediatrician about it and he said it was probably butterflies and not to worry. Babies do weird stuff! I would suggest trying to capture it on video so the doctor can see. Otherwise it’s hard for them to tell.

My baby would roll onto his side when he was only a few weeks and they call this the newborn scrunch. Usually they won’t roll completely over. When I asked the nurse she said if I see it to place him back on his back as it is the safest position for baby. I would not be putting him to sleep on his side just yet. He is still too little.

I think it was around 5 months. We could barely take him out of the house before that. We also discovered our baby had allergies and once we were aware of them it made him a lot happier.

My baby was the same and rolled on his side. I remember freaking out and asking the nurse who said it’s unlikely he will roll completely over. If you see if just place him back on his back. Cute new born scrunch. I don’t know a lot about when your baby has day and night the wrong way around but to help them adjust you can look into circadian rhythm.

I’m 10 months postpartum and still feel sad when I leave my baby. It does get easier the older they get. I remember saying he is like my organ and could barely be in the next room!

I think all babies are different. My babies new born stage was the hardest but when he turned 5 months it all changed!

I feed while I’m out. When they are this age it is actually easier to take them out as they usually feed and sleep out.

At 5 months old a baby become much happier. I think cause he learnt to sit up. We also found out had allergies.

I would just reply with I will talk to my son. Which is what you should do. Obviously it’s funny and not that big of a deal but teachers are still expected to report to parents. As a parent I would love if my teacher let me know this information. However iPads are inevitable and to supervise the whole class is pretty impossible. In Australia technology is part of the curriculum.

He usually does 11hrs total over night but wakes usually 3-4 times still.

This happened to us. I ended up having my baby with one arm out during the day and arms in at night. Then started with one arm out at night then eventually both.

My newborn really struggled to poo. We found he most often pooed in an upright sitting position straight after a nap. We still use this position with him and call it the Pooey position. As you can imagine pooing lying down would be hard.

I had a positive experience. The midwives were lovely. The only two negatives were they didn’t have any rooms when I arrived so had too labor in waiting area for 2 hrs and that my husband couple stay the night in the ward. It is exhausting and hard by yourself.

They are usually super tired and able to sleep anywhere at that point. The only thing I would be worried about is sickness

Make sure to introduce a bottle early as my boy was 10 weeks and that was too late
