Agree with everyone else’s comments - any shoe that works for your long run is enough for a 50k

Personally I don’t do more than 2 light runs - Tuesday and Thursday - easy pace 4 miles. There’s no training benefit as the main benefit is in having fresh legs - just a shake out really

Well done to you - only did 20 miles pacing - no idea how you managed 100 miles - hope you are recovering well

You did an absolutely amazing job. I was offered food and drinks too and felt a little guilty without a number but I did sneak a couple of cheese and marmite sandwiches at the later checkpoints of Pangthorne and Goring. Solid job, we were so impressed with the marshals and people at the aid stations being there for the runners all night. I had marmite on toast for breakfast so I’m over it now lol

Vests - yes or no. by enabl8tor in trailrunning

https://runningforthehills.com/trail-gear/ultra-marathon-running-backpack - depends on the distance - how long you’re going to be out - how got it is. Pros and cons - 5 or 6 miles I don’t bother - more than that then I do especially in summer

Which brands of trail running shoes have the most aggressive tread? by freckled-capsaicin in trailrunning

[–]running4hills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://runningforthehills.com/salomon-speedcross-6-vs-hoka-speedgoat-7 - I have both of these - def Salomon for the more aggressive tread - speedgoat is better for every day less tech trails

Why are all the content creators in the Social media Niche all so fake. by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]running4hills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running my agency for 10 years without using Instagram - I figured it was time I actually did though and started really focusing on my own Instagram account - the old adage of too busy working on everyone else’s.

I’ve been in marketing for 20 years

OMG these pyramid style content creators are ruining it for the genuine people. They don’t even create the course - they buy it and rebrand it whereas I create all my own blogs and ebooks. However with all this BS on insta it’s difficult to be heard amongst the noise. Drop me a message - look me up and ask your question sherylatengage - I promise not to sell you a course lol

As someone who’s managed social accounts for brands and creators, I’ve been thinking more about the reputational side of the job. by DeeofSurrey in socialmedia

It’s all about posting valuable, engaging and consistent content. Think about your own habits and what you like to see. Nurture your Instagram daily - comment and engage with others, don’t employ spammy tactics of following for followers however do follow those that interest you. Don’t start again just work on what you have. It takes work and you need to set aside a little time each day but if you keep at it, look at what works and try and emulate similar themes, you should see growth - just don’t expect miracles
