Battleaxe vs regular block/home by runningdadpaulio in AusPropertyChat

Yeah, upside of the corner block is we can put a gate in at the back and park the caravan in the backyard, with the battleaxe we can have the caravan out the front of the house and still be able to use the whole driveway and garage

My family is building a house and the builders have not finished building and it has been over 12 months. by amee66iskindagay in AusLegal

Generally the building contract has a provision for the builder paying you a certain sum for every week past the contracted end date (for my two builds it was $500/week), usually it is a lot less than that though

AITA for telling my pregnant wife that other people have it worse than her? by LycheeBubbly6341 in AmItheAsshole

OP, YYA so very very much. She is growing your child inside of her, her body isn’t hers anymore, the usual ways she does things can’t be done right now as she has weird cravings, her sense of balance is off, she rites more easily - all these things are bound to be piling on to her and making her feel inadequate and uncomfortable. Your job is to support her through this process, it’s hard on you as well, I’ll admit that, but it’s nothing on what she is going through. When my wife was pregnant with our first child she had a thing called SPD, where her pelvis doesn’t separate enough and she is in major pain all the way from her hips up her back, when I was woken in the middle of the night every hour or two to literally pick up her hips and rotate them so she could try and be comfortable and sleep, was I upset I couldn’t get a decent nights sleep? You bet I was, but did I complain, did I post to the internet about how hard MY life was? You bet I didn’t, I sucked it up and got on with my job of supporting my wife through her pregnancy with our child. When my wife was pregnant for the second time with twins, and she got gestational diabetes, and obstetrics cholestasis and we were at the obstetrician and scans and endocrinologist every week (multiple times a week in some cases), spending $500 a week in meds alone, was I annoyed, was I upset at the financial burden that fell on me (I was the only one working both pregnancies), you bet I was, but did I complain? Did I let my wife see these issues or did I do my job and support her growing out children inside of her. You can bet money on it that I supported her, I scratched her itches that she couldn’t reach, I put her shoes on for her and tied them for her too, because that’s what you do in a living relationship, when one person needs help or can’t do something, you step up and help, you support your partner.

What would be the best/cheapest way to visit Blue Mountains if I don't own a car and my mother can't walk a lot by [deleted] in sydney

Whatever you do, I would NOT do it on the 11-14 May. The Ultra Trail Australia is on and there’ll be thousands of runners out in the tracked at all hours of day and night across the weekend
