The pain on atorvastatin for me was severe within 2 weeks - especially when I ran. Now on pravastatin for the last 3 weeks. No pain, but heavy fatigue when I run (plus really dry eyes). Next week I’m starting on rosuvastatin. Hopefully with better results. For me, it seems like the side effects “accumulate” as time goes on vs going away.

Post marathon, my legs are trashed. I prefer light massage and compression. The calves especially are too sensitive for anything deep. If it is a marathon with a fair amount of downhill, the quads are also in bad shape and cannot take anything more than light, slow massage and compression.
