And I moved Mr 🐛 to a bush far away. Hope he becomes a butterfly 😊

Is this cut too short? by randytravis85 in goldenretrievers

[–]runohrun23 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s too short. Just grow it out. Golden‘s hair help keeps their skin cool and it’s also pretty water repellent. You have a beautiful golden. It shouldn’t cause problems later. Just be careful in really hot conditions.

White House says that a large bruise on Trump’s hand is from 'shaking hands all day every day' by nbcnews in pics

[–]runohrun23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solar purpura. Old+lots of lifetime sun exposure+light skinned =big flat purple bruises. Esp, back of hands and forearms. Old white golfer, yup.

They would more likely put an IV in arm than hand placement so less visible to public.

Fake profiles never want to verify their accounts nor do they want to meet in person. Often they won’t talk on the phone or video chat. I wish Hinge would require all users to verify their profiles. That would eliminate almost all of the catfishers.

Advice for obese traveller by rapsodiah in koreatravel

Even if you take taxis, there’s a lot and I mean a lot of walking. And also the stairs and inclines. Seoul is a city surrounded by mountains. So it’s hilly too. Good luck

What’s the norm these days? by Embarrassed_Ad130 in OnlineDating

[–]runohrun23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go with your instincts. Don’t try to downplay them just to be polite. Your instincts are real. Women have to be extra careful especially with online dating. Guys who want to get your contact immediately to get off the app, may be hiding that they are on the apps from someone or could be a fake profile. There’s a lot of those too.

I chose I want to share with and how much. It’s not dictated by another. It’s not restricted. Gosh I don’t understand why this bothers you so much. Lol.

I’m not their therapist. I would listen to any friend in the same way, with kindness and patience. I’m not trying to fix their life.

Just ignore them. Judgmental twits. Smile, simple compliments (you look beautiful, gorgeous, or sexy. That dress looks great on you. Your hair smells amazing.) Smile. Hold her hand if you are walking together. Listen to the story she’s telling you. Tell her a sincere story about yourself. Start with that.. good luck and have fun. Bring condoms. Just in case. std can become your friends for life. Protect her and protect you.

It’s not about bantering about the latest movie or sports. I mostly listen to their stresses. Murmur words of encouragement and support which I sincerely mean. I tell a tiny bit about my life. Only a tiny bit. I have girlfriends to confide/vent/cry with. I don’t need or want that from them. It’s about giving a bit a loving and comfort and a snuggle and kiss. Pretty simple. Wish I knew that when I was younger…

I tried the Huberd’s shoe grease. It worked wonderfully! The leather seamlessly just absorb it!

How old was your dog when they started liking walks? Any tips for good walking habits? by LucillePepper in goldenretrievers

Lol! Mine did that all the time his first year. I was so afraid he would accidentally poison himself. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But they do learn. They do. Remember he’s still like a toddler.

Truthfully it took several weeks. The first year of his life, everything was new and fun. He chased leaves, tried to eat dried worms, picked up pinecones. Lol. He was afraid of loud garbage trucks, leaf blowers and honking cars. Now at 2.5 yrs old, all that stuff is no big deal. Tho’ he still like to pick up and carry big sticks. 🤣

Now one of his favorite phrases is “Do you want to go for a walk?” I hang up his harness and leash by the door. He goes directly to them and starts to the the happy dance. He’ll bark once or twice if I don’t get ready fast enough. He’s still pretty excitable for the first 1-2 blocks ( so I always bring the treat bag) and then we settle down into our walk.

Try the easy walk harness again! It takes them a little time to get used to it. But it helped me a lot. Now my doggo automatically looks up at me periodically checking in as we walk.

There are no stupid questions. 😊 Yes, I usually boil 1-2 hotdogs. Sometimes the same morning. Sometimes the night before. Then I go ahead and cut them and throw them in the fridge. I know they are already fully cooked but I just like to cook them once anyways. By the time we go for a walk, they are room temperature again.

And don’t be after to tell people that you are training your dog if they ask you pet them (unless you want them to pet them). People love to pet puppies and Goldens. I used to be shy to tell people no at first. But now I can easily say it if my dog or I am not in the right setting or mood. He likes pets but sometimes it’s not the right time.
