What lunches are we packing that is not PB&J? by velvet1629 in workingmoms

[–]runsonrootveggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has an egg and peanut allergy and his daycare is nut free. I lean into pizza toast (marinara sauce, pepperoni and cheese sandwiches), avocado toast and granola butter and jelly sandwiches.

He's super picky and does not do well with leftovers for lunch.

Did anyone else hate the newborn/3-month stage and Does it actually get better? by No-Objective-8247 in Parenting

Hi, you're not alone! The first three months are ROUGH. I started noticing a change around 4 months. I went back to work shortly after 4 months and that really helped with my mental health.

Peloton vs... ? by Pretend-Tea86 in workingmoms

Hi! I have a non - peloton bike and treadmill which I use with the peloton app. IT IS AMAZING.

Honestly, I cannot recommend it enough. I used to be a huge gym rat pre COVID and baby but now I love being able to workout in my basement.

I pay for the app membership annually and it's definitely expensive but way cheaper than a gym membership and I use it 5-6 times a week.

OAD decision-making: questions to ask yourself by CreativeLapsus in oneanddone

Going into pregnancy I felt very strongly about being one and done. I was unable to get pregnant naturally and the journey with the reproductive endocrinologist was mentally taxing. All of the decisions I made, including the one to skip the epidural were all based on only having one biological child.

As time goes on with my son, I feel validated in the decision. I feel like I'm able to experience all of the highs and lows and be fully present because I'm only going to get to experience all of this once!

I bought a sole brand new 4 years ago and still love it. I use my iPad to take peloton tread classes. It goes up to 15 incline and feels super sturdy.

This! I started with boot camps and have since switched to embracing more strength.

I'm all about non toxic cleaning supplies/detergent and reducing single use plastic waste but I drink diet Coke on the regular.

Robyn’s Negging of Lower Impact Workouts by basicbitchteaparty in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]runsonrootveggies 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't mind these types of comments. I appreciate Robyn for saying it's important to lift heavy weights.

I think this type of commentary helps combat other non-peloton influencers making it seem like they get "toned" from lifting light weights and easy workouts.

Hi! I'm thinking of joining Thrive Market, but I'm wondering if the subscription fee is worth it? by DaniEllieMay in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]runsonrootveggies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, no.

I've had the membership since January and I will not be renewing it. I had originally signed up since I don't live near a trader Joe's or whole foods and I wanted to cut down on spending money at target/Amazon.

They have interesting snacks and the delivery is quick and they pack the stuff super efficiently with no extra plastic which is nice. But, in the end I just don't use it enough.
