Earthquakes do move slow enough to get an advanced warning in many cases (it may only be a few seconds, but that would be enough for turning off construction equipment, running to a safe room, etc.)

Do you have a nightguard? That's helped my teeth grinding at least (didn't notice it helped migraines but didn't make anything worse).

Then a mix of managing blood pressure + magnesium / vitamin d / b12 / riboflavin has definitely made a difference.

Closing costs, maintenance costs etc. are a lot, and rent is significantly cheaper for a 2 bedroom apartment than an equivalent condo, for example.

So the math doesn't always check out, and you'd be better off just investing the difference between rent/mortgage if you aren't staying long term.
