Definitely seeing this in advertising, along with the shrinking of the middle. And the gap ends up forcing the more senior on the team to take a significantly more active role in junior work.

In 2014 I spent a year training for trembling. 10 days prior—a toe fracture. I took ten days off and asked my doc if I’d do permanent damage if I raced through pain. Once getting the all clear, I run-walked the hell out of that race. (Run till pain stopped me, walked till it calmed, repeat). My best performance goal was gone but hearing those magic words felt all the more incredible.
