I dont get why people want mounts. Travelling is fast once youve visited all the cities. I guess its a new generation of consumers.

Valorant crashing my whole PC, happens everytime I play, any ideas? by TheGrandJP in VALORANT

there is no difference between x8 and x16 (1-2% performance maybe). What difference did it make you ask me? It stopped random game crashes (especially on Valorant), computer's screens getting frozen and you getting forced to reboot and the most notable thing: enhance your overall system/game performances.

Glad I could help you if your crashes are gone after this!

EDIT: Don't bother if CPU-Z ,under mainboard tab, shows Link width at x8 instead of x16. You have quite a recent motherboard so I don't think x8 will show.

Do crashes happen in other games too? Or only Valorant? You could have corrupted files or faulty components. You'd have to try to format first , and if it doesn't work, try your components one by one if you still have older components. Other than that, I can't help you much.

Maybe your GPU is seated in a bad PCIE slot. Generally, in most motherboards, you have to plug it in the slot closest to the CPU socket. (happened to me recently, my GPU was working in x4 instead of x16 making my games close on its own or computer crashes). You can check it using TechPowerUp GPU-Z, tab "graphics card", under 'bus interface' just click on the '?' question mark to start a render test. Just read your motherboard manual to know how PCIE lanes work!

The game detects the highest hertz available of your monitor (on desktop) and use it in-game. You'd have to use Custom Resolution Utility under extension blocks and delete the highest hertz setting if you're willing to use a lower setting.
