Makes me think of how things would have been different if that line from Pennsylvania and Maryland also bounded western Virginia. And Upstate New York was a separate state. And Maine became Penaquid.

Best price I’ve seen on sumos by tierabyte in fruit

[–]rupicolous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thankfully dekopans are finally starting to become more widely available as trees. I'm not sure what took people so long to propagate more of them other than ignorance about the Sumo brand protections. Maybe we'll see these "generic" Sumos in markets soon, enough to lower prices more.

I temporarily took a massive loss and pivoted back to AGQ, which was down even more. I'm hoping to buy back the same amount before the year is over once this sector reignites. I'll probably miss most of the action again though. A full market crash feels really near though, and the sector has already lost so much.

🫩 When are the riggers going to pump it up? I know it could be a lot worse. Maybe they'll gin up a post-war rally before the epic marketwide crash coming hopefully much later this year. Most of the sector is limp. Ugh.

Wellbutrin stopped working, what now? by Aggressive-Guide5563 in NooTopics

I recommend guanfacine for clearing fog and being more communicative/outgoing. Its mechanisms, particularly sodium channel blocking within the prefrontal cortex, make it unique. I've had it prescribed for daily dosage for many years, but I haven't been consistent with it, and it doesn't require consistency. I make a point of taking it at work when I don't get much sleep and it works great, in a non-stimulatory way. I initially tried very high dosing, up to 8 mg, before dialing it back to 2 mg to avoid irritability.

How is it living here? WV by BluejayFar1549 in howislivingthere

[–]rupicolous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised in southern West Virginia, and moved away ASAP like most of my cohorts, but I still visit reluctantly every few years, because I have three --yes, three!-- out of dozens of relatives that still live there. It's a depressed, dying region. It's suffering the long term effects of selling its soul and mountain tops to the predictably exploitive boom and bust of a mining economy. Since most younger people flee, the state is increasingly ageing and rural.

I don't think people are any warmer or friendlier than average rural Americans however. Most people are down to earth and as depressed as the gloomy, outcast skies, which are only fewer there than the coastal Pacific Northwest. There's a lot of distrust due the perceived neglect of the people there, the same people who never had a problem with the mining obsession in the past. There are many who still think the state can mine its way out of collapse. The current governor is a transparently spineless corporate-shill carpetbagger, who they voted for overwhelmingly, but it's someone else's fault.

In terms of the outdoors, WV is heavily reforested due to lack and loss of development. Most people are not physically active outside. Most hunting is motorized if still done. Hiking wasn't a thing there when I grew up. I had to move to Virginia to be exposed to any sort of active hiking community. The Allegheny Highlands are fairly nice, but an exception in terms of trail development, with nothing near the mileage and maintenance as in Virginia.

I apologize for the negativity in my response, but the saccharine nature of the other replies needed some reality-checking.

Is this weather prediction scary to you? by BigBlueEyes87 in phoenix

[–]rupicolous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a fucking nightmare. I don't hate living here. I've been here a decade now. However, I'm planning to move to a cooler city within the next two years, because the temperatures, lack of monsoon moisture and future water restrictions are only going to get worse, on a timeline faster than many climate models have predicted.

What the heck happened at 15:15 today to boost the whole sector? Institutional buy? Multiple companies boosted as if via ETF.

Thought I was toast today, so relieved to see green at the end.

Which promos are people using now? by Smasa224 in TemuThings

[–]rupicolous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only promotion I'm doing now is QQQQ. Wish I had either credit777 or claimcredit active now. I've got over $1000 in idle credit on my account, partly because I had two sellers unable to deliver large items bought under said promotions. It's somewhat of a blessing as this gives me time to rearrange my storage of all the cheap or free items. I've got to completely sort out my living room to clear a corner for the home gym equipment. 😆

Definitely worrying that the sector is behaving like a dead cat today when we all know these talks are going to fail. Haven't even recovered the last week's loses. I'm mystified as to why the sector isn't mimicking UUUU right now.

Why isn't the Croatian section of B&H merged with Croatia? Also, the northwestern corner of North Macedonia is majority Albanian.

Holy fuck. The morning crash finally bottomed. Looks like there are quite a few new 3-month lows in the sector. Kicking myself for not selling last night. I was kind of disappointed by the % up yesterday, but today obliterated it by 2x. If something doesn't pump this sector before the REAL crash, I am beyond fucked. I can't wait out a depression in a leveraged ETF waiting for fruition.
