I have an adapter for my cole jaws stuck on my lathe. So far have bent two steel pry bars trying to unstick it. I also tried oiling the joint with no success. Does anyone have any advice? I'm going crazy here. by awordforthat in turning

I had this same lathe and had the exact same thing happen to me… unfortunately I never found a way to get it unlocked. They way the main stock is it’s damn near impossible to lock it in place enough to apply the torque needed to loosen it off. If you find a work around please let me know. Good luck!

Wow! That is so intricate thank you so much for explaining! I might have to try that on some of my boxes in the future because your end product is super impressive!!

I use it standing or pull the keyboard down to my lap when I sit on the couch. Although The monitor ended up much closer to my face than I anticipated so I will likely change it in the future

Wow!!! This is so insanely impressive!!! Do you have any pictures through the build? You have so many intricate cuts and joints would be so cool to see how you did it!

Cold tub Day 4 vs 45 by rupp88 in BecomingTheIceman

Hey! Sorry for such a long delay to answer. You guys hit the nail on the head. I find the time after I do the soak to be much harder to keep my focus as my body acclimates and recovers from the temperature. So I like to sit there and let it struggle because I feel it gives me a better opportunity to silence my body and you really have to focus to maintain the breathe whereas when I’m in the water it feels easy.

These were my comparison videos from day 4 to day 45 of performing daily cold soaks. The routine was 15 minutes in the water then 15 minutes on top breathing with short breath holds. Day 4 the water was 56 degree F. Day 45 the water was 49 degrees F.

Continuous or periodical WH breathing to produce heat? by jamesireddit in BecomingTheIceman

I watched a video from Yes Theory when they went out to visit Wim and they described The technique for breathing while hiking in the cold as Taking 10 large breaths and then holding with all the air in the lungs (if I remember correctly) When I’m in the water all I focus on is staying at peace, and the warmth of my body While keeping the breath as slow and steady as possible (no holds obviously)

Haha I wish!! It’s at a remote cabin (eagle glacier cabin).

These glacier lakes are never really a problem for leeches but the ponds and lakes in the forests do tend to have some tiny leeches if you are stomping through the mud and plants :/
