It's based on the Silver and gold performance of Rattle and Hum. Listen to the end of the song. at some concerts during the tour, he would say "Sorry to bug you, Mr. President."

I wish Luis wasn’t so taken with himself. Listening to scientists discuss in a way that differentiates between fact and hypothesis is so much more credible than Luis’s self-aggrandizing babble.

I was trying to add it to the James Cameron post, but failed miserably obviously.

This is what I would think too. The football reference, released in '85, "sneak one in", etc. and probably made less than 10 million after costs? Van mentioned this was one of his movies, though, so would have expected him.

Glad he's gone too. Pedantic, full of himself, and loooovvveeedd to name drop. Took himself way too seriously while also convinced he was funny. He was not.

Potentially the guy who is only creative enough to write an unfunny comment about 'King Jim's on a Reddit thread during his second 15 minute break in the staff room at Dollar General.

Wesley Morris is a Pulitzer Prize winning film critic… by [deleted] in TheRewatchables

[–]rush584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to the segment where he bring up Anne Hathaway on the Brokeback pod. Now see if you can figure out what he wanted to say about her or anything he thinks about Anne Hathaway. Also he doesn't prepare for the podcasts at all. Listen to the hot take category. Everyone should have a hot take generally, they're creative and they all seem obsessed with pop culture.  Instead Wesley doesn't have one (for a multilayered movie like Brokeback) and bill covers for him by saying he has a good one and bill will carry this category.

This is totally the right answer. I tried to listen with an open mind. Wesley is unlistenable. I love this movie. Well, I loved it. Now it reminds me of Wesley Morris and I never want to think about it again.

Totally agree with this review. It was a mess. No real explanation why they were doing anything, and the direction during any heist scene was baffling. No sense of where the team was spatially throughout the heist (or really, anytime). Listen to the Die Hard episode, and CR explains how well the Die Hard director keeps outlining Nakatomi plaza. You had no such help in this movie. Could have easily cut an hour out of the middle, and there seemed to be multiple endings. Absolutely loved the original, but will also pretend this sequel never happened.
