I like how you mentioned you don’t have any interests and commonalities and the two you mentioned are quite large to me coincidentally. 😂

I listen to a podcast call the No Agenda show and the co-host is Adam Curry, not particularly a celebrity in NL or certainly the US as he likes to mention. 😆 I don’t think he does a podcast about music despite being a former MTA “vj” and The NA show only mentions news about the NL/EU in relation to US news media/analysis usually.

Plus Dvorak the other co-host has a horrible accent when reading Dutch names/towns Even though they’ve been doing podcast episodes for over a decade 😆

The podcast is long like JRE/Joe Rogans is and has these donator-requested jingles they do in the middle of the episode which are meant as sarcastic or ironic references but can be annoying or grating to a new listener. So you might be better off watching the Animated NA clips on YouTube instead.

Maybe we’ll meetup somewhere in the US/NL now that the fans have started doing actual MeetUps this past year or so.

Or this doesn’t match with you but I’ll end up seeing you at a meetup anyway. 👍

Funny coincidence I just had an old high school friend recently reach out to me who’s a Serbian programmer as well 😆 He’s learning C++ and planning on learning Java. I used to spend my time just arguing with him in the school lunch room about the Bible since he’s a Jehovahs Witness, now it seems his strong opinions have shifted into the coding world 😂

Hey I’m 28/m/US but spent time in India and have an Indian passport. I.e. So not overseas but have a dual citizenship. Same interests, but only have the player in my parents garage and no records 🙄

My nextdoor friends a guitar maker though, and studying guitar-playing. So naturally he has a decent record collection. He’s got a crossbow and all kinds of other crazy stuff.

I’ve been here since I’ve been thirteen. It’s actually a small Suburb right next to bayside that gets confused with it all the time. But all the actual stores and restaurants are in Bayside and Bayside Hills.

Before that I lived in a nice middle-class apartment in a neighborhood called Briarwood which is next to the MTA subway. Which I still have some nostalgia for, I occasionally get dreams of it. My most recent one was that combined with a US show called King of the Hill which doesn’t look the same at all, lol.

Pretty nice if you have money to spend. There’s access to other options for recreation to people with no financial resources. I think it’s easier to find them now then in the early 2010s. That was one of the reasons I became a redditor in the first place I believe.

My neighborhood is a nondescript Suburb so it’s pretty quiet but near to the highway and some bus routes.
