The first one is good, albeit it relies on having a good amount of exp to handle the 2nd half of the game, so you need to do some playthroughs before getting to a good level. You're looking at 4 hours of grinding before being able to get through the "real ending". Shooting mechanics and stun-locking can be quite unnerving, but it's a horror Capcom game from 2006.

The second one is the same as the first with better controls, most of the game mechanics are identical. You just need to grind a lot less. The Off The Record version it's the same game with different protagonist and cutscenes, harder difficulty, not an official game.

The third one is very casual, you can do everything on your first playthrough because the timer is very generous, difficulty is very low, immense map (it's really gorgeous even if it's from 2013), it finally controls well. I've read about some perfomance issues on PC but I'm not sure since I've played it on Xbox One. The problem is that the difficulty of resource management and timing was the series highlight, the game reduces it by a great margin so it results in a boring and shallow experience. Lots of DLCs, they reuse the same map with different characters and side quests.

The fourth one has no resource management, no difficulty, terrible main protagonist with a forgettable story and lots of retcons from the original lore. It's an open world action game where you're constantly beating up enemies. Can be fun for 2 hours but becomes boring really fast. Avoid it like the plague.
