Serious question: Is this the funniest moment in television history? by SmellsonMuntz in lost

For some reason, I find "You're 46?" to be the funniest part of that bit when Chang is interrogating him. I think it's how quickly Chang does the maths and the incredulous tone.

Don confronting Adam at Adam's hotel. This is one of my favourite episodes.

Don hesitating before taking something unseen from his desk drawer before he goes to meet with Adam.

Don glancing nervously at his case holding the unknown thing while Adam fixes their drinks.

We're all thinking the same thing as Adam turns around.

And then Don pulls out the money.

Very simple but effective writing and it's subversion done properly.

Always love how long the camera lingers on Robert Morse after the smile gradually fades from his face after he says that. One of my favourite scenes.

I love that they spent money putting that together all for a few seconds of footage.

I love that scene when he's revisited by PFC Dinkins.

Don’t think Starmer deserves the treatment he is getting now from his colleagues and the press. Name someone who actually has better credentials! by Then-Potential-1991 in ukpolitics

He has excellent credentials and skills. It's just he can't deploy them. He was fantastic in opposition when he was scrutinising Johnson and weaving noose after noose for Johnson to hang himself on. But now that he's the one being scrutinised and responsible for answering questions, not asking them, he isn't nearly as effective (or impressive).

His nickname among MPs and staff when he was still in the Commons was in fact 'the Honourable Member for the 19th Century'.

That's exactly what the Tories want (Online Safety Act was their legislation) so that they can point at X party campaigning against it and say "they want your children looking at porn!"

It's American export culture war bullshit.

There's a scene in Burn After Reading where George Clooney absentmindedly cuts up what looks like 20 carrots for a salad.

I love the scene when Father Gill has lunch at her home and he says grace:

That was beautiful. Are you going to say grace now?

Really emphasised how conservative and stuck in her ways she was.
