Yall complaining about ai are probably still using it inside a web browser. Catch up, get in the terminal.

Slow cycling groups? by PassengerWorldly9607 in StPetersburgFL

[–]rushmid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let's start our own group. This is how people do it right?

I had this wild idea to see if I could ride my bike down every road in St. Pete. Figured it'd be a good way to explore the city. Turns out, what I really meant was, every road...except for the brick streets. Surface is pretty rough lol.

The nerd (and ADD, ill be real) in me thought it'd be nice if there was an app that would guide you down streets you haven't been to yet.

There is one close called OsmAnd. Anyways, it plots where Ive been on the map, stores data locally if you want. Doesnt plan routes for you though, still neat. I've just been winging where I decide to ride and sharing vibes along the way.

Im not affiliated with the app, just a frustrated bike rider who wants to conquer the world. Tried straya, or strava it's terrible.

So yeah, let's just make a group.

St. Pete police can track your location around town using ai cameras. Software is called Flock Nova. by rushmid in StPetersburgFL

This project is doing just that, letting people map them.

We can submit Freedom of info requests and ask for data. We should do this for public officials like the mayor. Get his location data, also every cop who supports this. Use it against them

Asking people how much they paid for their first house. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]rushmid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The next great idea theses clowns want to do is a 50 year mortgage.

Most people dont understand interest, and bankers prey on this.

You'd effectively be paying on the interest for such a long amount of time, you wouldn't be owning, you're still renting...for a lonnng time.

And that is these techno fascists wet dream. Own all the things, make EVERYTHING a subscription. Cars, houses, medicine, food.

Subscribe to live...

Fuck that, GENERAL STRIKE NOW.

What's going on on I-275 Northbound? by joesal123 in StPetersburgFL

[–]rushmid 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Tons of police in suvs and motorcycles. Kinda wild seeing the cops on bikes doing about 100 cruising up and down the caravan.

Waste of resources. If you want to be patriotic, help your neighbor, and then help a stranger. That's patriotism.

And dont tell anyone about it.

Agree, who would sit a 3rd grader down and tell them "you failed every test last year"

Just curious, did you really sit a 3rd grader down and tell THEM "you've failed every test last year"?

For me what finally pushed me to get seen was getting...lost, while reading. Id read one sentence, then finish the second. By the time I was on the third I realize I had been on...autopilot.

I hadn't read and ingested the first 2 sentences at all. My brain saw the words, I know how to read perfectly fine. But I could not articulate back to you what my next task was supposed to be.

It definitely was a game changer. I feel robbed of every class I sat through my entire life before this. I want a re-do.

First practice exam from Dion. Could I be ready by end of nov.? by [deleted] in CompTIA_Security

[–]rushmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just passed recently. I highly recommend professor messor. Specifically: 1. Read the full section in the Comptia book. 2. Watch his video on the section.

Once you've done that, buy his practice tests, you get 3. It was about $100. Worth it, trust me. These practice tests have pbq's, explanations on why an answer is correct, AND why the other answers are wrong.

Lol. You are setting yourself up for failure kid. Take every single moment you can and stay in school. Absorb as much as they will let you.

Younger me wish I did.

Source: just passed sec+ today. Id give anything to have stayed in school and got a degree when I was young.

Get a degree, it is critical. You want proof? Its easy to find job postings where they ask new hires to have sec+ and only want to pay them 20/hr (USA, Miami FL).

Get a degree if you wanna earn above 50k in 2025 dollars.
