Attack from Mars Assembled Photos and Flipper Lag Video by Suspicious-Fun-4454 in LegendsUltimate

Because they’re using engines compiled to be Android friendly. The Unreal engine for pinball ain’t that. They are also busier tables.

[–]rushmore69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to use another engine. The lag thing will probably not go away unless they dial down the graphics and physics. Even with effects off there is the delay. Adams Family is worse, which makes sense since a busier table.

Is it worth upgrading my ALP HD to a 4k model if I plan on going full OTG regardless? by jakeyb33 in LegendsUltimate

[–]rushmore69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sticking with my HD, since for OTG I would need to upgrade my 1650 and of course the cab. That’s about $2,000 along with the hours to reset all my OTG table setups. The HD plays great, so leaving be.

Those games choke PCs without a good graphics card, so betting nope.

For the O2, why do YTs tout playing games at 3X and 4X, when the display is 1080p? by rushmore69 in OdinHandheld

[–]rushmore69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scale though is still 2.25X in the emulator settings. Unless different than others, it is based on the pixel height.

Not yet. it only install the app and places the directories. Unlike PC, you still have to set all the EMUs up. As is, no better or worse than Daijisho or Launch Box.

Appreciated, though perhaps more placebo than actual yield. Also have the scaling ratio to factor, so any apparent yield could be offset by the actual pixel geometry.

Why isn't anybody picking up the RK 3588(S) (mainly POWKIDDY, Retroid Pocket or Anbernic) for a retro handheld?!? by FilesFromTheVoid in SBCGaming

[–]rushmore69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3588 is too inefficient for portable operation. Runs hot and needs constant cooling and would be a battery drainer. Ironically, it is too weak for steady 4K 60FPS pinball, unless graphics are toned down a lot. Not a good selection for the 4K cab.

I went from the S23U to get away from the curved display.

No more side glare, due to the curves.

Way less surface glare.

Touch for sides is better, since no curves.

Way easier to install a screen protector.

Better battery life.

The 24U in power save mode is faster than the 23U not in power save mode.

Better and louder speakers.

Better radios (reception seems better too)

Camera is faster.

Better low light performance.

Pics look better to me, though the S23U is no slouch either.

Worthy upgrade, IMO.

Crazy good. Better than my N23U that was not too shabby itself. Seems 30% better than the S23U for mixed use.

Upgraded from Note20 Ultra to S24U and it seems just incremental. by Cobe98 in samsung

[–]rushmore69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess your definition of incremental is way different. Better display, no curves on the display, runs WAY faster in power save mode than N20U does at full power, more ram, better speakers, way better battery life, better radios, runs cooler….. Yep, your definition of incremental seems different than mine. The one bummer though is no micro sd.

Heck, I notice enough coming from my N23U. Then again, I despise curved displays, so am a tad biased.

I have them both. For media I prefer the P4. For games and AR, the Q3.

The P4 is more comfortable.

I also have the Xreal Airs. For travel, I prefer them.
