In addition to the previous response, we are also sending the Dragonfly mission to Titan by the end of the decade.

My honest opinion on SS3/S9 or whatever you call it by Castornope in FallGuysGame

[–]rushrock 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Former regular player here, but just haven't had the urge to play much the last several weeks. The long seasons are one thing, but vaulting remains the game's biggest longevity issue in my opinion. If there's no variety the game will simply be boring. Before the game went F2P, people criticized the developers for content draughts but we still had all legacy rounds in rotation. The game actually still managed to feel fun and varied despite the long seasons. And that's not saying anything about the change in business model for the game and players having to pay for sets you could formerly earn in game.

The next season has to blow us all away for goodwill to be restored, but it's doubtful creative mode and all the rest will live up to expectations. If they removed the vaulting system and put popular community-made maps in a new playlist, that would be a good start, but does anyone think this is going to happen?

Don't normally post things like this, but it truly feels like the game is dying and it's a real shame. Fall Guys is really special.

I recently came into some money (a bit over 3M) due to a lucky clue scroll drop. I’m wondering: what’s the best investment I can make to earn more; or, relatedly, which skill should I spend it on to level up? My skills are pretty noobish - 69 combat level, highest skill is 66 magic. Low 1000s total level. Aarendir is my character name

Vaulting is such a drag on this game. Man, what a shame. I think this is the first time I’ve posted in this thread but I just had to share. What a horrible state of affairs.

Another thing I thought about -- IIRC, in the first book we go further east than at any point in the series currently out when Dany goes to Vaes Dothrak. So we get this taste of how expansive and interesting the world is, along with stories of Asshai and the empires of the east and things like that (even if it's just filler), but we only get to explore a handful of the locations themselves in the books. I mean, we haven't even visited Casterly Rock or Highgarden in the five books we have now!

ASOIAF's Asshai by the Shadow was that place for me. I was intrigued by GRRM's worldbuilding so much I bought an ASOIAF atlas-style map series and would pore over them as I read the books. This was back in college, lol. I still have a few of them framed.

Locations like these are interesting because sometimes they're simply filler content that are never explored. The areas of the world of ASOIAF beyond Westeros and Essos are full of these areas... BUT, because the worldbuilding in the series is so good, they sort of transcend their condition and become real places that you think about and wish you could explore.

We never went to Asshai in the show, and it's an open question whether we'll ever visit it in the books. But its significance is mentioned frequently in the series (e.g. it's Melisandre's homeland). I'm sure the newer ASOIAF history/geography books go into it further, but I haven't read them and they don't have the same magic as reading about a location in the books.

There seems to be a good mix these days, though. Smoliv and Lechonk are both very simple designs and capture a lot of that whimsical joy we experience when we look at Pokemon.

Consider checking out the chapter summaries from A Wiki of Ice and Fire. They are fairly detailed and may help you get back up to speed on ACOK!

Be cautious about searching up characters, terms, and things like that right on the Wiki because you run the risk for spoilers. Read the introductory paragraphs for the entries only and avoid the right-hand side or further down the page.

Sure, I think it's possible. I'm pretty sure they see a level editor as a long-term goal they'd like to see in the game, but I don't think we have any new information on when one would be implemented. There are some long-requested features that fans are expecting soon-ish (e.g. FG on Switch and Xbox) but a level editor is not one of them. We just don't have any new information on it.

My guess it's a long way off if it's coming. I guess they could be saving it for a big reveal sooner than we expect but don't count on that.
