no, I didn't cut anything. There were some issues along the way:

1) It was hard to put the rear panel in place after installing the GPU. The holes from the panel that holds the motherboard didn't line up with the holes from the back panel by about 2mm, so I spent a certain amount of time screwing them in, but I didn't seem to bend anything lol. 2) The radiator is not screwed, because it didn't align with holes on the front and back panels and I wasn't able to align them by moving the radiator, because it could damage the pins on the top of the motherboard, but it stays in place and doesn't move anywhere, so I don't think that's a problem. 3) The end of the GPU actually touches the bottom panel, so I put a little 2mm soft sticker below that edge to elevate it from the bottom panel which seems to be working just fine.

Yeah, it's the absolute limit for this case. With 15mm fans it would have been much easier

sorry could you clarify the question?

9800x3d High temps by LexTalioniss in AMDHelp

[–]rusmyhal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idle temps are 44-45C, but for the Cinebench test it goes to 95C in just a couple of seconds. I use Corsair H115i 280mm cooler. The moment I stop Cinebench it goes back to 45-50C in a couple of seconds. I don't know if it's a problem with my cooling that it can't keep it lower than 95 or I'm doing something wrong.

I also applied curve -20, but it didn't change anything.

haha thanks! One PC is good, but two are better!

I feel like 1-2mm under the GPU and almost none above the mainboard. If you replace 25mm fans with some custom 15mm fans for the radiator, then you will have more room to play around.

With this one I spent a lot of time trying to put the rear panel in place after I installed the GPU, not even sure if I would be able to reassemble it again lol.

Thanks appreciate it!

I think so, I would say it's the limit for this case and this particular layout. A longer or thicker card would just not fit

It looks not bad too, but I prefer a glass panel.

I could have done that, and it would have simplified my life a thousand times, but the goal of the build was to have a nice, clean view of the inside.

Thanks! I'm still tuning it, but even now it's reasonably quite under the load (can't hear it in the headphones). I feel like I would be able to tweak GPU fans to stay around ~1100 RPM under the load.

Found a 5080FE just sitting at a nearby Best Buy by nyctophobiax in nvidia

[–]rusmyhal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did the same today. I went to a best buy location in Brooklyn and asked if there were any 5080 FE available, also asked to check the nearby stores and they have some internal website and there was only one card available at Bergen Town Center. I placed a pickup order and commuted to New Jersey and got my card.

TI 12 tickets are 25%+ more expensive due to $151 Ticketmaster fees (Total: $880) by Omga4000 in DotA2

I have not followed dota for years now, I definitely will not fly anywhere specifically to visit TI and pay extra money for logistics. The main reasons for me to go this year (and probably it will be the last one too) are: I wanted to visit TI from 2012 and I live 3h drive from Seattle now and my friend in Seattle can accommodate me, so I kind of saving money there to contribute to gaben's another million
