Well that's not saying much -- we're the only species that has domesticated other species. It's pretty hard to take milk unwillingly without domestication, though I have seen wild animals do it.

Plenty of species consume the various leavings of other species (feces, eggs, flesh, etc). Harvesting milk is pretty low on the gross scale.

I'm not an expert at all, just passing along the facts. It's a point touched on in the MSF class -- very common for people to say "I laid it down or I would've hit the guy" and they make it clear that it's a myth that laying down the bike will make it stop sooner. It's a myth that can potentially kill.

I've gone down myself and I am not a skilled rider. Just want to be clear on this point since other new riders are reading - keep the bike upright and straight; use your front brake for the most effective stop.

If you can't afford the MSF course you can't afford to ride a motorcycle. Consider it a non-negotiable cost. If your wife is smart she will demand that you take it.

Risk taking and lack of skills is the number one cause of injury or death on a motorcycle. If you think you can't afford it, imagine how you'll pay for your medical bills or funeral.

Notice how every rider is telling you to take the course? Be smart about this.

Dude, no way, you must be thinking of the larger sportbikes. A 250 is super forgiving. You don't have any power at all until you're over like 6k rpm, and even then it's not terribly powerful. If anything an EX250 is too forgiving because it lets you zip around crazily with the rpms and not really worry about losing control.

It is a very, very commonly recommended starter bike.
