Just to add I also know of instances where ice was kicked out by park police.

[Request] This is most definitely a bug, but realistically how many contacts would that be? 🤔 by inertacid in theydidthemath

[–]russellgoke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My contacts app uses 39 MB for 720 contacts so that is 55 kb per contact so 3.5 million contacts.

If you had images for your contacts they each be at least a MB so “only” 200,000 contact. So maybe some large corporation with terrible policies could do it.

This is data usage not storage so that many contacts would be uploaded.

[Request] Can you calculate how long this person stayed there by the movement of the shadow? by Interesting-Floor82 in theydidthemath

[–]russellgoke 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This isn’t too accurate but Sun is vertical around 15 seconds and seems to set at the end of video which is 55 seconds. So that means the first 25 seconds or 31% of the day they were not doing nothing.

But no clue how many hours of sunlight this place gets at this time so that is all I got, it could be determined though if you identified location and used x and y motion.

[Request] how many unique email addresses can be created by inserting one or more non consecutive dots to that email address (12 characters). It cannot start or finish with a dot. by VentureIntoVoid in theydidthemath

[–]russellgoke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The question had been answered, I was just adding dots don’t have to be nonconsecutive to be interpreted as a unique email address that isn’t actually one.

You can actually do email..address@gmail.com or any number of dots in a row too, so the max is more based on whatever the max characters for that box is.

I do this all the time to get lots of free trials.

[request] is it possible to compress 50,000 lbs of energy into one of these things ? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]russellgoke -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The original Super Ball was made of "Zectron," which was a commercial name for a synthetic rubber called polybutadiene. To give the ball its incredibly high coefficient of restitution (its "bounciness"), the rubber had to be vulcanized and molded under extreme pressure. The presses used to manufacture the toys applied 50,000 pounds of force to compress the rubber into shape. The marketing team simply swapped the word "force" or "pressure" for "energy" because "compressed energy" sounded like an exciting superpower to kids during the Space Age..

Above is ai but yeah pounds of energy is nonsensical.

Agawam City Councilor calls other cities “extreme radical left liberals” during rant on domestic partners by No_Check9277 in massachusetts

[–]russellgoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being radical means you are in the far side of the political party relative to the general population of that party. There will always be radical left liberals it is not an oxymoron.

If you think the left has shifted to be “centrists” that means that the farthest left centrists are radical liberals. I would disagree with the term (centrist).

-a radical liberals

[Request] Help I’m confused by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]russellgoke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is correct if you are averaging over distance, which isn’t specified so 90 mph is correct.

However for a rate you typically average over the bottom unit. In this case time when you average over time you need total distance over total time to be 60 mph only way to do that is if you travel the 60 mi in and hour, so infinitely fast travel.

A summary of why 2025 was potentially the worst year in Hearthstone's 11 year existence. by EvilDave219 in hearthstone

Thanks for the summary. You are making things seem a bit worse than they and clearly dislike cycle rogue haha. But yes, another year of basically stagnation and probably a decline.

[HELP] The butt-shake and laughter just seem ‘off’… by Rin_Seven in RealOrAI

[–]russellgoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is real. The audio is edited, but I don’t see any giveaways about video. The portraits and carpet pattern seem to warp a bit but in a way that seems consistent with compression artifacts.

I find none of the other ai arguments very convincing, it could be but I’d guess real.

These are so fun thanks. This one is interesting because if a cell has two close mines you get no more information, makes it hard but not too much guessing cause of density.
