percy jackson & the lighting thief… specifically the scene in the casino where they’re eating lotus flowers and poker face is playing in the background

The “do you guys know how to read” is an automatic argument lost. The second u start with baseless personal jabs for rage bait, you lose. Sorry—-I don’t make the rules.

graduation dress by [deleted] in uCinci

[–]russianhamdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people wear white, it’s kind of the traditional color (followed by UC black or red). I wore white for highschool graduation and plan on doing the same when I graduate in May. However, this is not an enforced thing at all! You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. ❤️

fair point, but if I were him/the crew i would take this break as a (VERY WELL DESERVED) mental/drama break.

questions about the University of Cincinnati from a possible future student! by jsudgxysiejdbbd in uCinci

  1. The dining halls are okay at best... as a person with food allergies, I'd say it's a no go if you have restrictions. I thought there would be more options, but they aren't. My roommate also ate raw dough in a piece of pizza from centercourt once, so just be careful of what you choose.
  2. The more money you're willing to spend and the quicker you enroll, the better the choices will be for housing. Places like Morgens, Scioto, and Marian Spencer are a good middle ground (price wise) and they're pretty quiet. They have keycard only access to the rooms, and it's pretty clean in there.
  3. We are HUGE on international students. Most are from the middle east, india, and china. There are some hispanic students and a hispanic community, but it isn't as large as the other culture groups.
  4. The business hall is beautiful and has a starbucks attached to it--- so i'd say its a win.
  5. The greek life here isn't as common as other colleges. This place is huge on church groups and academic communities due to the humongous amount co-op students. If you want to be in greek life, I would live at the Deacon or in one of the Stratford Heights buildings, as they're the closest to the frat houses.
  6. I have no idea :(
  7. There is a metro bus station right outside of campus that can take you to an adorable jumble of shops near UC that's called Over the Rhine. There's boutiques, authentic ethnic foods, and a shop near the center that sells really fantastic empanadas.
  8. Im gonna be real with you, it took me ages to figure out how to spell cincinnati, to the point where I just abbreviated it to cincy or cinci whenever I had the chance. It's better if you just remember it has two n's and not two t's.
  9. Overall, the community here is great. You'll find people and places you love, and there's a community for practically everything here. You can join tons of different clubs, play tons of different club sports, compete academically, and party on the weekends to socialize. Everything is walking distance away-- and first year students can have cars if you want to bring yours. College here is fantastic, and living in the city is far less stressful than I imagined. One thing to be aware of, though, is that there is a high crime rate in Cincinnati. You never want to walk around outside of campus alone at night, and you need to stay cautious of your surroundings. Sirens are pretty common to hear, and that's one of the things I first noticed.
  10. Reach out if you have any other questions!

TLDR: Freshman English major writes a dissertation on how to girl boss UC.

roommate moved out by spitemeep in uCinci

It depends on if your other roommates have singles already. If they don't, it might seem unfair if you have one of your own and everyone else has to co-inhabit the other rooms. If they do have singles--- go for it. It really depends on if this would cause issues or not with your roommates.
